Worked on 2015 Traverse.......with an ODB2 programmer
I racked my brain, researched and watch videos on how to do this for days. I finally took a chance and got it to work. I wanted to share it so maybe it will help you. ** GM wanted $75 for just the remote and $120 to program it. Local Locksmith $125 for both ** First: I needed a programmer for my car (2015 Traverse), newer GM vehicles don't have the option to program remotes through the information panel. I took a chance and purchased the Dorman 99161 with a key fob ($50.00). Plugged it into the ODB2 port and followed the instructions. It probably took longer to read the instructions than to actually do them. I then purchased this Key and Key fob and programmed it using the above ODB2 programmer. Again, easy and quick. (side note: you must program all the remotes at the same time, still easy to do, press and hold lock and unlock until it beeps, 5 seconds?). Interestingly, I went to Lowes Home Improvement to have the key in this kit cut. The gentleman cut the key and said he had no way to charge me because I brought in the blank. So no charge to cut the key! (I felt a little guilty, so I got another house key cut while I was there, even through I didn't really need it). Programming the key was also super easy: Original Key: turn to on position (Do not crank) count to 5 Turn key back to off - count to 5 New Key: turn to on position (Do not crank) count to 5 Turn key back to off - count to 5. Started car with original key (YES it started) turned off car Started car with New key (YES it started) turned off car.............................Done $70 and I have 2 remotes and another key (and another house key, LOL)

Perfect replacements
Remote programming less than 40 secs on 09 silverado. Key was cut at dealer for a 2010 silverado. Both parts perfect!

Excellent value
Although I was not able to program the keys myself, I have a friend at a dealership that was able to help me. Much better value than a brand replacement

Lack of directions to get programming
It’s mostly my fault for ordering the set cause the key didn’t look like mine but I took a shot, thinking that the fob would work. As well I couldn’t program it because the sight to go to is Worthless. It wants U to prescribe to a checklist of different cars and no mention of how to program the Fob. That’s is the dissatisfaction

Worked for a 2012 Silverado 1500
I had to use my Scan tool to program the remote and have the key cut at a key shop. A good 2 way scan tool can do this job. A simple scan tool will not.
