This one really works. I use it everyday going on two years now. The battery seems to never run out if I turn it off as soon as I take the collar off the dog. My dog when let outside would just run to the fence and bark non stop until brought inside. Now I can let her out and she actually runs and plays and has fun because the collar doesn't let her just sit and bark. I don't detect any shock, but it vibrates, which is surprising and uncomfortable for her, so she doesn't say a peep now when outside. It has a wide range of settings from very mild or just beeps, to strong vibration.
