I wired this switch in series with the existing switch which was located outside of the pantry. Timer switch I fitted just inside the pantry. Switch outside the pantry can be left on or can be switched off if shorter light time is required. I set my switch to just over 2 minutes.. It took quite a few attempts to get the timer setting that I wanted. The control knob is very sensitive if a low time is required, however the timer is easier to set if a longer “on” time is required, 12 minutes being the maximum. Switch is illuminated when in the “off” mode which makes it very easy to locate in a dark environment. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase, the quality is good enough for the job intended and the switch fits into a standard light switch pattress. If you are prepared to be patient with adjusting the timer I would recommend this item. A light plus a normal domestic extractor should be well below 15 amp. **Q: is it possible to use these in 2 way, 3 core cable t&e.** A: I don't think so. From memory only 2 terminals- so no 3 way facility for strapper **Q: Does any time lag switch work with LED lights** A: Yes it wil work fine, but there's a fair chance that the LED will flicker or glow dimly when the switch 'times out'. But this can be fixed by wiring a Power Correction Factor Capacitor across the LED lamp. It was so simple to fit and easy to set up BUT, when the switch is "off", the bulb remains very dinpy lit so it will constantly drain power while fitted. I tried it with an LED and CFL lamps and they both had the same issue. So I returned this switch; it's not fit for my purpose.
