Is this product weatherproof for an outside wall?

Yes the lamp comes with cable glands,make shore you put the cable feed into the bottom of the lamp so that water will run of the lamp not the top as can compromise water protection, lamp clear cover comes with rubber seal where it fits to body,plus rubber seals for fixings screws ,hope this helps

Standard 3-core 240V power cable at 6A is fine although you should take expert advice if unsure and if it's going to be placed outside.

Has anyone managed to fit a smart bulb into one of these? They are too big for my existing bulkhead light fitting.

Brilliant for smart bulbs, though new screw fixing ones not bayonet. There is loads of room for connectors inside if you want to daisy chain them.
