The instructions list the wiring for a "two-way" arrangement, which doesn't address which connectors to use for a simple single switch setup. As shown in my picture, use the two posts identified with black blazes to switch the hot wire. Use a wire nut for the common. Using those posts, the "OFF" position is as shown on the second picture.
