Easy to use and great value.
I am using this to maintain the water level in our pool for the winter. It is working great to keep the water from getting too high. Easy to use.

Not easy to use
Classic Chinese standards. No instructions. Specs. or warranty info. Doesn't work too well. Working with paddle straight up or straight down and no in between. I bought Green Expert 1/3HP Sump Pump with flow control.

Works, but adjusting the weight scrapes the insulation
I like the shape and coloration of the unit. It makes it easier to find in the sump pump pit. However, there are two things that were not so good. 1. Adjusting the weight to change when the float switch activates scraped the insulation of the electric cord and was extremely difficult. I think that the durability and safety of the unit is in question now. 2. The float must go a couple of inches below the weight to deactivate. This is not clear in the video IMO. It is why I had to move the weight and could not use it as I had originally envisioned. My suggestion is to get the slightly cheaper version without the weight and secure the cord somewhere where the float will properly activate and deactivate. If you get the unit with the weight, be aware the weight needs to be be above the point where you want the float switch to deactivate.

Poor Calibrated Tolerance or sticky float ball?
I used this inside a 55 gallon drum so that when the water was to be drained to a low enough point, it would remove the power to the pump. 1 month after the return period, the issue I have is that the ball inside the float seems to stick such that it needs to be tapped to trigger vs normal use of the water. It wasn't triggering unless I tapped the float even when the water level was down to an inch. Again, it then wouldn't re-initiate until the water was well over a foot deep. (unless I tapped the float). Not sure if mine is faulty or just poor tolerance trigger. To solve this for now I have suspended the weight in the middle of the tank and live with the poor tolerance.
