This company is hands down some of the freshest most flavorful coffee I’ve had the pleasure of tasting for the price. Underrated is an understatement. Excellent value with roasting dates listed.

Consistent delicious taste

Fed-up with the 'Starbucks' taste! I'm a fan of Starbucks - and I spend $5-$10/wk at various locations. But for home brew Starbucks taste is just not the same when compared to store bought. It might be the quality of coffee, their brewing devices, or various other things - I just can't simulate the Starbucks taste at home using Starbucks coffee brand coffee. (Note: I burr grind my coffee prior to home brew - I buy whole beans only!) Whether, medium roast, dark roast, Ethiopian, Costa Rican, light, dark, blonde etc. I just can't simulate the store bought with my home coffee maker. Besides, the 'Starbucks taste' appear to side on the dark/french roast appeal. I'm been ordering the 3-types (whole bean, of course) for 6-months and have not regretted its. Starbucks home brew is far beyond the rear view mirror. Note: I still enjoy Starbucks store-brew. I am also planning to try other coffee's from Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. Their products appear to have 4-5 stars with above-average reviews and comments. For now, I can recommend this. Rarely would I ever rate something 1 star, but seriously, this coffee is weak. Let me start by stating that I French press my coffee and I believe that is an essential way to capture everything the coffee stands for. None of the oils get left behind due to paper filters, etc. First, I ground the coffee to a coarse grind (common for French press). I use a 17g water to 1g coffee ratio. So, I used about 24g coffee for 400ml water. I put 200ml water into the press and let it sit for a minute, then add the other 200ml. After 4 combined minutes, I applied pressure to the plunger and it went down way too easily. That's a problem. I then poured the "coffee" into my mug, it was the consistency of water. I repeated the same process as mentioned, but ground the coffee into a finer grind. Same results. Bottom line, this coffee completely lacks the flavor that is advertised and I will not purchase from Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC again.

Good beans. Taste good. Pairs well with creamer or honey. Very hearty black. Robust flavor. Quality of the bean is good. Not oily. Medium roasted.
