Berroco Vintage Yarn, 5164 Tang

I ran out of yarn and was worried when I had to order more that it wouldn’t match (due lots, ya know). It was perfect. Well done Berroco!

Love Berroco Yarns. Making a knitted temperature blanket and was so glad I found thus for my 100°-104°. Much better than the light pink I had chosen originally.

I bought just one skein, to see whether I liked the yarn. Then I found that the seller (Fabric.com) cannot guarantee that all skeins in the same order would be of the same dye lot. I still made a sample using my favorite-size needles, No. 3: no good. To get the results I want, I would have to use No.2 needles, and that means about 150 stitches for the back of the sweater (hip size: 12 in summer, 14 in winter). Not for me.(P.S. The label recommends needles 5 and 7; with needles that size, your cardigan will be very drafty -- probably OK if you work in an overheated office, but in that case you probably don't have enough spare time to knit cardigans. Knitting is the ultimate old-woman's sport.)

i love this yarn and I love the soft washable quality it gives my projects! My only wish is that when I purchase this online they gave the option to wind the skein into a ball so I don't have to try to do it myself. I had purchased this previously at a local yarn shop they wound it for me but they ran out so I had to turn to the internet. I also wish you could choose a die lot, because the berries yarn has a lot of variation in it! Otherwise great yarn and I got it quickly.
