They are a very good make, very reliable and straight forward to use at a good price to. I did notice in one of the reviews saying that they don't work, well I don't know what that particular person is trying to use them on but they clearly haven't a clue about the disc burning process at all. These disc's definitely work and they give good results all round. I would highly recommend these disc's and the other types of disc's that this company make. I use them to copy HD TV programmes!! **Q: If these are 'once-only' writable discs, does that mean I can fill up a single disc with different movies over a period of say, a month?** A: Hi, Hope this helps, BD-R SL discs are write once, single layer. Use a good disc authoring program, like Nero Burning Rom. You can only write a Multisession disc. Click on Blu-ray (UDF), click multisession tab, select start multisession disc. Burn at 4x speed, disc are 6x speed, that make sure you get a good write at slower speed, also check Verify data, make sure Finalize disc IS NOT CHECKED. Multisession leaves gaps between each session, writing a disc in one go, makes a better disc. When you put the last bit of data on about 22GB’s finalize the disc, so if it’s video you can play it on your Blu-ray player, most Blu-ray players are guaranteed to play MP4 file at H.264 (HD), MKV files don’t always play in Blu-ray players, if you change the file extension from .MKV to .MP4 that often works. If you have a 4K Blu-ray player it will play higher spec. MP4 file at H.265 (HEVC), which wonβ€˜t play on a standard Blu-ray player. Both Blu-ray players can also play lower standard res formats like MPEG, MPG, MPEG2, XviD, TS, best look at your players manual, you can also try video format on a stick, on the player first to see if it plays.
