Excellent, and easy to use

While I'm fortunate enough to own a DJI Mini 5 Pro, it does have a few small annoyances. One of them being how the included gimbal/camera guard can be fiddly to add and remove to the drone. In particular how the drone has quick release locking propellers and uses a strap that attaches to the top of the drone. The idea being that the strap will hold both the propellers and the guard. Problem is, especially when putting the original guard back on, I have to remember to gently push a propeller towards the propeller hub. This action then disengages the propeller lock allowing me to fold the propeller. Something I have to do four times, then fold up the arms before turning my drone upside, which leaves the propellers facing downwards towards the rear. After then I can add the guard, clipping on the front plastic tab, before folding the props underneath the guard. Then I attach the two rear lugs into the drone body by using the strap. A process that's not only frustrating but if I use too much force I could easily damage my drone. Indeed it's something I worry about every time I use the guard. Fortunately I found this OEM drone cover, one that's well made from a reasonably strong transparent plastic, one that's is just as tough as the original included guard. Though best of all is doesn't have a strap on it, so I don't have to worry about damaging the blades when putting on the guard. Instead all I have to do is fold the blades up, which is now easier to do because there's no strap in the way. Yes this guard does mean the blades can flop away from the body of the drone, but if the drone is stored in a hard flight case with foam insets and not loose in a bag, it doesn't matter. Though if you don't have such a case, I've found using a padded camera bag protects the drone just as well. Another thing to know is when fitting this to the front it can touch the gimbal and camera, so you should check that these areas are lined up safely before clipping on the cover. Though once installed it does a great job at protecting the gimbal and camera, so this one is well worth getting if you own a Mini 5 Pro. Just remember it's only for the Mini 5 Pro and won't fit any other drone.

This gimbal protector/lens cover fits my DJI Mini 4 Pro perfectly and snaps on securely without feeling forced. It covers the lens and gimbal well, keeping dust and fingerprints off during storage and travel. The material feels solid for the price and it’s lightweight, so it doesn’t add bulk in the case. Easy to put on and remove, and it stays in place. Great little accessory if you want extra protection for your Mini 4 Pro.
