I’m using this microphone since February so now I can say everything for sure about it. The DJI Mic 2 microphone is a wireless microphone system designed for content creators. I travel to Brazil constantly, Rio de Janeiro. So I like to record everything. My equipments all them are DJI. My dream is: DJI notices me giving me the opportunity to try the only thing I don’t have as equipment at all, a drone. So I can’t get better videos with the drone Mavic 3. I can record on top of the Favelas in Rio, as a example the one where Snoop Dog recorded his song ”Beautiful”, and the other one where Michael Jackson recorded his song “ They don’t care about us”. This one is the reality of the most people who live inside of those places. Here are some of the main features: 1. Audio Quality: Offers clear and high-quality audio, ideal for video recordings and interviews. 2. Range: It has a good transmission range, allowing you to move freely while recording. 3. Battery: The battery has a good duration, ensuring prolonged recordings without the need for frequent recharging. 4. Compatibility: Works well with multiple cameras, smartphones and other devices, offering flexibility for different recording setups. 5. Portability: It is compact and easy to carry, perfect for those who are always on the move. This microphone is a great option for those looking for professional audio quality in their recordings. With camera DJI 5 pro it connects straight by the internal receiver of the camera so it’s gets a better sound and sing. But with the other cameras or cellphones it connects by Bluetooth. So you won’t have all that mobility because Bluetooth don’t get far distances maximum 10m. So if you want the best quality the this microphone can give you and you are not going to use with the DJI 5 pro, my suggestion is get the combo with the receiver and the microphone. This microphone also has an internal recording, you can control the external sound like wind, just with one click. The microphone has a button just for that. The stability of the connection is perfect. If you have that on Bluetooth it’s good but not as good how the straight connection, like I said with the receiver. It for sure worthy the value you are paying for, and they have 2 colors, black and white, but I chose the black one because it doesn’t get stained dirty. I wish DJI notices me and let me try the Drone DJI Mevic 3!

It also adds adaptive gain control and improved noise reduction. However, the Mic 3 removed the lavalier input, which is a dealbreaker for some professionals. If you use lav mics or prefer a proven, flexible system, and for me better sound quality stick with the DJI Mic 2. If you want the latest features and ultra compact design, go for the Mic 3. Either way, the DJI Mic 2 remains one of the best wireless mic systems for the money in 2025 reliable, versatile, and professional.

great mic, great sound, amazing connectivity to dji products. If you need a trusted wireless mic, this is the one you're looking for. And for the unbeatable price, anything in this range will cost you at least double. If you are hooking up this to another non dji device, remember to grab the receiver.

I have used this quite a lot as I started Moto logging and because this Bluetooth connects immediately into my DJI four and DJI five pro cameras, it was a no-brainer. I had to upgrade from my original DJI 2 transmitter and 1 receiver set. This microphone merges seamlessly with the DJI cameras that I use. It gives good sound quality and I do like the dead cat much better than the original DJI Mics that I also have. I did not get the entire set up, just a transmitter. So I cannot do a review of how well the transmitter works with the settings on its own. But I can say, when using it with a DJI five pro the noise, cancellation game + and -etc. all work flawlessly. The only thing I am a bit disappointed in is the battery life. If I’m using it for an hour, it drops down at least 20%. That tells me I would not be able to shoot all day without recharging it. On my original two transmitters and one receiver, I would always use the transmitter, one on each person and we would be gone for eight or nine hours and still had plenty of battery life left using the internal recording. If need be, I could charge it up while out, but I would hate to have to do that and so far I have not run into it, but I can see where during the summer that’s going to be a possible issue. Other than that, Fantastic set up to go with the DJI cameras. The Bluetooth connecting is a true game changer for Moto vlogging.
