Garmin Dash Cam 45 (Renewed)

The media could not be loaded. Great Renewed Garmin 45 DashCam. I was expecting a slightly used Camera but this was brand new with no dents or scratches. If the Renewed Label wasn’t on the packaging I would think this was 100% brand new. Comes with car charger, PC adaptor and magnetic 🧲 car windshield mount which works great. The video quality is excellent and the audio quality is perfect no background noise just clear audio. I’ve purchased the $20 and $25 Dash cameras before and now I can see why it’s worth it to get a brand name this camera is so much better. Even though it’s renewed they make sure all the outside parts are brand new the screen is brand new and everything works 100%

I was recently involved in a car accident, it wasn't my fault but I had no witnesses and the other part deny responsibility for the incident, so after that, I was more than ready to pull the trigger on a reliable camera. When I start researching for dashcams on Amazon I was facing hundreds of them, which made me very confused on what to get. I have been using Garmin products for years, from watches to GPS for car and cycling, so I decided that even buying a REFURBISHED product my chances of getting a poor performance product were very little.I am glad I took the right decision, the camera is well built, the mobile app that integrates the mobile device with a camera is simple and works making it easy to share and save the videos using iMessage, Whatsapp, email and SMS.After 2 mo, daily use, the camera is working without any issue, I personally disable most of the alerts because it gets annoying, I bought the suction mounting bracket to have the flexibility to use the camera in different vehicles. I can't give a feedback on the bracket that comes with the camera since I am not using it, the original instead of suction must be glued on the windshield.

It’s a little lacking in features, I guess because it’s already a few years old, and the traffic moving and lane changing alerts a function poorly.The video is clear and installation was easy enough, although not the most clean job, some of the wire keeps popping out around the rear view mirror.You need to buy the long usb lighter wire for this camera, it is not included.I use the card reader on my laptop to access the files as the app is no good.

I actually got this as a “downgrade” from a nicer, bulkier dash cam and I like this much better. Easy to use. When viewing saved video you can scrub the entire recorded length and download what you want, as apposed to other cams which save in one minute increments.

Refurbished Garmin Dash Cam 45 looks and works like new. Absolutely perfect. All necessary cables and mounting gear came with it and are new. Extra long power cable was included which made for a very neat (hidden) and easy installation. I was so impressed with it that I bought another refurbished Garmin 45 for my son’s business vehicle. That too was in perfect condition. Excellent picture and sound. Easy to use.

No no no. I should have listened to the reviews! My friend bought this camera brand new and I bought it renewed. All I can say is defective! It overheated so much to the point that I could not hold it. The camera would turn off after 15 seconds no matter what. It was an immediate disappointment. I tried to charge it, I tried to let it sit for a few days, But it was the same thing every time. I was never able to actually utilize it or get to know the camera itself. I’m sad to write this review. I believe this is a decent camera if you buy it new! But I just wanted to save some bucks :( my fault. But I didn’t want to risk buying a new one so I bought a different camera that I am happy with . But seriously, don’t be like me, listen to the reviews!

Well worth the money. So far so good. No complaints at all. Hoping that I’ll never have to have this to prove my innocence in an accident but damn glad I have it hooked up just in case. Works as described or better.

I have this installed with the parking feature cable installed. Whenever I've needed video evidence, I can pull over to check and there is no video of my drive previous to the incident. I'm assuming because the device is full of parking videos. Driving video should be priority. It's cumbersome to find the video you need, if it even recorded/saved it. I had an incident happen the other day. I pressed the snap/save button. When I pulled over to review there was nothing but a ton of parking videos from earlier in the day and the driving video starting from when I clicked the snap/save button (after the incident) but there was not video of the 20 minutes of driving prior to and leading up to the incident. So ultimately, aside from a sense of security you get from the device it doesn't perform great in price comparison. I should have but bought a $40 dashcam.
