Easy to put together. Great antenna for receiving. SWR and transmit on 2M is good.

Great product takes less than 30 minutes to put it together. and about the same time to get it in the air. Signals coming in from over 100 miles away loud And clear.

I was impressed with the quality of this antenna. While I haven’t been able to put it up yet due to lightning in the area, just sitting on the floor I can tell a difference in my scanner reception.

This appears to be a quality antenna. It really helps bring in distant signals. I had ordered a competitors antenna that never arrived, I actually am glad as I upgraded to this antenna.

Antenna arrived in a slim package. Assembly instructions in good English. All materials were durable metal. Additional screws as the counterpoise (downward facing rods) are held in by small Allen screws. Allen wrench included. Mounting hardware fit a 1.5 inch steel rod. Coax antenna feeds down through the center, no issue with water getting in. Took me an hour to unbox and assemble. Mount on pole before adding last two counterpoise rods.

A lot of false claims in the description here. So forget anything HF really except maybe listening to some stations along the bands. The SWR can go as high as 4.0-8.0 the closer you get to the HF bands and you don't want to be transmitting with your SWR that high. I've found good SWR on 7cm and 2M comparable with a JPole but a Jpole is a fraction of the price of this thing. I'm sure it is fine for a CB scanner or transmission on CM, It would be fine for GMRS as well as the SWR is still good for that. 2m and 70 cm are good too with SWR around 1.4. HF should not even be in the description. AS with most discones, there is no way to adjust really. The documentation is very poor but it is straight forward to put together. I was not particularly impressed due to the cost of this item. You could do JPole or SlimJim for $20-$30 and get what this offers. I'm sure height and other factors would change the characteristics of this antenna but it looks like it was made for Upper VHF bands and specifically 2m and 70cm since it seems to be resonant on 2m.

This is a nice antenna. The central part is made of strong steel. It assembled easily and the coax that comes with it is nice and thick, high quality. I didn’t scan its frequency response formally but used it and it performed well.

Purchased this antenna for my Homepatrol 2 scanner I am also a ham radio operator and tried it on 2 meters and 70 cm has a very good SWR 73 VA7GS

Outstanding reception of all the airband, GMRS frequencies I usually scan, an amazing improvement over my previous antenna. It’s just as great transmitting too, great VSWR over all the frequencies I use, GMRS etc. Quality build.
