The combination of these two pillows has been amazing! Both are firm but soft at the same time, which I realize doesn't seem possible, but it's almost like sleeping in a cloud to a point, but there's still enough firmness that I don't feel like I'm suffocating in soft fluffiness. Long story short, I haven't had a headache or a neck ache since I bought this for myself. For those that do still have issues with neck pain, the only thing I could think of that would cause that would be if you're using the wrong side of the pillow and it's too high or too low for you, or possibly that you have worse neck issues or different neck issues than I do that are causing the pain. The pillow feels soft and luxurious. I don't know. I just like the way it feels. Sometimes things just click. Not too flat but it does get flatter.
