These measures are the best type to use in crown green. Not only are they accurate they also eliminate potential for misuse and the players have confidence in the result of the measure.

I purchased the new bowls measure box string tape which I find works really great and no one can cheat when using them. It is a bulky item which it needs to be but there is no belt hook or callipers as there are on most all other types of measures making it hard to carry in your pocket. This is a major issue to me as well as my team mates who would purchase the measure if it had a belt clip and callipers!!

Probably this measure gives a more accurate reading than other measures,but I found it very cumbersome and the mechanism part very slow to retract and the tape end keeps falling from the main body.

A more accurate and "cheat proof" way of measuring. No more tilting the tip of conventional measures to gain that extra 1/4 inch, or looking for the dimple in the mount! They work well and once used to using them (and your marker at the other end!) make measuring a lot easier.

I made an old boys screw up when I tested the Bowsline measure. Now that I use it properly it is a superb piece of kit and I thoroughly recommend it.
