I used to have a similar mandolin, that the handle broke off. (it was decades old, and not the same brand) I have bigger mandolins that do different cuts, and are bigger and more difficult to use. I use this almost every day. It’s easier to get out, since it’s flat and goes into a drawer easily. I’ve used it on onions for caramelizing, cheese for snacking, potatoes for hash browns and apples for eating or in recipes. It has 3 different thicknesses, so it works for most everything you need. It works quickly, and seems very sturdy. The blades are sharp, so be careful and use the holder for everything you are slicing. That makes it safer for the fingers and hands. It’s easy to use, fits in your hand well. The price is very reasonable. I do recommend this product.

I love this mandolin slicer. Very easy to use and also very easy to clean. Slices are uniform and you can adjust the thickness to your liking. It does come with a chop guard but, I like to live dangerously and don't use it. Edit: I would suggest using the chop guard though, because the slicing blade is ridiculously sharp. This item meets all your slicing needs, be it carrots, garlic, finger tips, or cucumbers, this item does it all. Fast, safe (USE THE FRIGGING CHOP GUARD!!!) and reliable. Highly recommended.

This is a nice simple little slicer.It works great.I use it mainly for potatoes and onions.Be very careful using it.If you are not using the food handling device that is included,you can very easily cut yourself.I tried slicing a regular sized potato with just my fingers holding the potato.Before I knew it maybe five or six strokes with the potato and I was down to my fingers being next.. Always use the enclosed attachment..An inexpensive tool that works.the slices are always a uniform size.The cutting blade does not move or the depth setting you choose.Very simple and reliable.Wish I had bought this twenty years ago.

This is a really nice Mandoline Slicer! I love how you can adjust the thickness and there's a lock option so you don't cut yourself. It comes with a tong-like, spiky gripper that allows you to grip vegetables like potatoes when you're slicing so you can slice without cutting yourself up. The blade cuts cleanly and it only took me about 30-60 seconds to slice a potato. It's such a good value and does exactly what is expected. I got tired of buying potato chips so I used the slicer on the first setting and made my own with fine sea salt. Tasted just like Lay's but better. I am hoping to use it to make Ratatouille next. I definitely recommend this. 😁

Nice and easy to use... and sharp!

I bought this for my boyfriend's house and I love it so much more than the one at my house. I may have to order a second one. It's compact and so convenient.
