I have purchased many other brands and styles over the years, some good some bad but none I instantly liked so much. The leather is top quality and the workmanship is superb. I have zero complaints about it. The finish is smooth and the brand name is cleanly pressed into it right below the opening. Usually I dislike when companies stamp or print the logo on the face of the sheath but this one is perfectly fine. - I had previously purchased a lower cost and different brand leather scabbard. I must honestly say it was a good one and well made but all in all I just did not like the size and weight. - This Style and Craft machete Sheath / Scabbard is so classy and well done I really like it. This fits my old Columbian 22 inch machete perfectly. I actually purchased it for the Marbles Sword//Saber and it fit perfectly and looks great too. A local forestry supply store recently told me such sheaths were no longer made.The sheath (which I purchased from the manufacturer) seems serviceable, but the leather is so much thinner than my old (and now unusable) sheath, I at first thought it was vinyl. I have tried to extend its expected life by glueing a thick leather collar around the top, from a scrap of the old sheath.
