SOG Tactical Backpack

The bag is great, except for the zipper being SO stiff. Almost a deal breaker, but I'm hoping it'll soften up with use.

I had a backpack from this brand for about 10 years, but I accidentally tore the stitching, so I decided to buy another one from the same brand. After using this new backpack for a month, I can say the material quality is terrible. The plastic parts where the straps connect to the backpack make an annoying noise every time I walk.

I got this as a hunting/everyday pack but I was a little uncertain as to the quality because of the great price. Now that it's in hand, all my concerns are gone. It appears to be a very well made backpack with plenty of pockets and the perfect size for a day pack. The straps are comfortable although I haven't given it a full pack, full day test yet so keep that in mind. The zippers can be a little difficult to use simply because of the thickness of the material. I saw some reviews saying it didn't have a hydration hose hole and I was starting to think the same thing but I finally found it. It's at the top of the bag and you have to really look to find it but it is there. Whether it'll be a big enough hole for a hydration hose I don't know, I haven't tried it yet. This is a perfect day pack for multiple activities. Edit: So a couple later I have to retract some stars and explain. One feature I love on backpacks and one of the big reasons I bought this pack, is MOLLE compatible webbing. There are almost an infinite number of MOLLE accessories you can take advantage of with that system. Unfortunately, yesterday, I found that the loops on this pack are too narrow for my MOLLE accessories to thread into. If you don't care about that the pack is a good usable bag but if you're like me, and I know that MOLLE is extremely important to a lot of users, it loses a huge part of its functionality. I have to say I'm extremely surprised and disappointed that a bag with the SOG label has undersized and unusable MOLLE.

Awesome product a little on the smaller side but very heavy duty makes a great over night or school bag

I’m giving three stars simply because it’s small. This would be great for school kids but for adults, not so much. I love SOG products, and like everything else the quality is excellent, but just way too small.
