The metal is springy so you can pry with these surprisingly hard without permanently deforming them, but they do have their limits. I would suggest buying two so that you can abuse one and see how much force it can take and then you still have another in original condition. I bought other tools in case this wouldn't work but it did, you only need one. Just have to use the right technique and it opens the iPod classic case with ease without damaging the clips or internal components. Turn the iPod upside down and insert iSeasamo into the crack and leverage downward to separate the cover from the bottom metal case. Simple. Great product for other Apple products as well I would imagine.
