Portapuzzle Standard (1500)

I have had this 1500 piece capacity PortAPuzzle for almost a year. We travel in a motorhome and it fits perfectly on the dinette table. It’s well made with non-sliding fabric. It actually slid off the motorhome table while driving and fell in the floor. It was closed and did slide off on its shorter edge. When I opened it, the pieces needed very little adjustment. I can open/close and carry this by myself. It’s substantially weighed to hold up well but not so heavy that a single person cannot move it like a lot of the wood keepers. The hook and loop (Velcro) on the flaps really stick together and are sometimes a challenge to pull apart. But so far I have not had to replace it. The outer shell is a nice acrylic/canvas fabric. I would buy this again and have recommended it to friends for a portable option.

I love puzzles (generally 1000 to 2000-piece ones), and I have gone through a lot of configurations trying to find the perfect puzzle board - dining room tables, cardboard sewing/ craft boards, foam presentation boards, and most recently, a large sheet of plywood covered in felt. All of these methods had flaws so I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical - since the dimensions are very close to that of a finished 1500 piece puzzle, I wasn’t sure there would be enough room to have all the pieces laying out during the puzzling process. But WOW have I been pleasantly surprised! Pros: -I LOVE the moveable side panels - they make it way easier to reach pieces or to slide completed sections to the opposite end of the board. Complete game changer. -The fabric on this board is the perfect combination of grippy and slick - less grippy than felt but not as slick as wood. It holds the pieces in place when you move a side panel or bump the board, but it allows you to slide pieces across the surface when you want to do so. -There is plenty of room for a 1500-piece puzzle! Having the 2 side flaps plus 2 moveable side panels creates a lot more room than I expected. -It’s surprisingly sturdy - more so than cardboard or foamboard. -Despite its sturdiness, it’s lightweight enough that (unlike my plywood board) I can easily move it around the house by myself. -The thinness of the board, the way it folds up, the soft cover material, and the somewhat-grippy puzzle board fabric all combine to allow me to slide it under the guest bed when I need to move it out of the way temporarily, while still maintaining the then-current puzzle status. Cons: -It’s bigger than expected with the flaps folded out, so I wasn’t able to put it where I had originally intended. I ended up laying it on a rarely-used twin guest bed and it stretches the full length of the bed. -Despite the board being bigger than expected with the flaps out, the flaps can’t really be used for completed portions of the puzzle (due to the folds in the board), so the board as a whole will only fit a 1500-piece puzzle. I wish they sold one that fit a 2000-piece puzzle. All in all, despite this puzzle board’s limitation to 1500-piece puzzles, I would definitely recommend it!

The Portapuzzle 1500 is great. It has allowed us to work on some very large and complicated puzzles custom made for us by Stave Puzzles in Vermont. We could rarely do them until now because they take up the whole dining room table. It can take us a week or longer to complete the larger puzzles and we cannot be without the table that long. Now we can lay it out and work on it at our leisure. If we need the table, we just fold it up and put it away. The removable side surfaces are very handy both as storage and sorting space and to allow one person to take part of a puzzle to another room to work on. The cloth surface has just about the right amount of stickiness. The pieces slide easily, but do not slide if the board is tilted slightly. If it were just a little stickier, it would be even better. I do have two suggestions, but the product works so much better than the old corkboards we have been using for years, that I just couldn’t rate it down. 1. The half-size inserts for the flaps are great. They are just a little too flexible. Make them stiffer. They are too floppy to use on a lap and if any part of them extends over the edge of a table, any bump acts like a catapult tossing pieces into the air. 2. Offer extra half-size inserts for sale as add-ons. We have several very large puzzles and could use another side surface or two. They would also provide more thickness when the unit is closed, which would keep the pieces in place better when stood on its side.

This is a great accessory for jigsaw puzzles, nice design to layout your puzzle and organise pieces. Plus you can easily pack it safely away if you need the table. I would note that it’s not great for a portrait format puzzle, unless you’re happy to stand the whole time, or get your brain to work side on. Also, it might not be large enough for some puzzles - I bought the 1500 piece version, but this 1000 piece jigsaw pretty much filled the space.

I bought a 1000 piece puzzle for the family to do over the holidays. There wasn’t room to designate an extra table just for the puzzle. I needed the mat to be portable, as we needed the table for meals. I looked at a bunch of portable mats and I’m very happy with my purchase. It’s ready to go right out of the box. It’s well designed, not heavy but rigid enough so you can easily move your puzzle from room to room with no pieces falling out, soft enough that it lays flat on your table. All the pieces fit well it has extra smaller mats for organization. The mat fits easily under a couch or tucked away while you are not using it. The top half can fold back on itself, taking up less space on your tabletop. The surface had just a bit of texture so that your pieces stay in place and don’t shift. Highly recommend.

Calidad muy alta en los acabados, las dos bandejas son muy utiles para colocar las piezas, y al ser de una tela un poco aspera, evita que las piezas se deslizen y se pierdan. El cierre es de mucha calidad y evita que se muevan las piezas en el trasnporte. Como algo a mejorar yo le pondria unas asas para facilitar el agarre y el transporte.

As described. Well made and received within a couple of days of ordering. A large porta puzzle and does take up a very large space when open.

Chi ha poco spazio in casa sa che scomodità sia avere un puzzle da 1500 pezzi in giro.. io potrei appoggiarlo solo sul tavolo, con la logica conseguenza di non avere più uno spazio dove mangiare! Senza considerare il rischio di perdere i pezzi se il puzzle rimane lì qualche giorno. Dopo aver valutato varie ipotesi, tra cui anche i rotoli di feltro per arrotolare il puzzle, ho optato per questo porta puzzle, un po' costoso in effetti, ma davvero utilissimo! Si apre a cartellina, dentro trovate due ulteriori ripiani per dividere i pezzi del puzzle. Quando lo richiudete mettete i ripiani sopra alla parte di puzzle completata, lasciate pure gli altri pezzi sui ue piani e richiudete il tutto. A questo punto, una volta ben chiuso, può essere appoggiato anche ad un muro, occupando così pochissimo spazio, non si muoverà nemmeno un pezzo all'interno! Per me è stato davvero la salvezza, così posso richiudere il puzzle e liberare il tavolo. Comodi anche i due piani aggiuntivi su cui appoggiare i pezzi che si stanno lavorando al momento. La chiusura è in velcro e tiene molto bene. Unica nota non del tutto positiva: poteva essere un pochino più rigido il piano su cui poggia il puzzle finito, così da essere più stabile nel trasporto... invece è un po' leggerino e tende a piegarsi, ma il puzzle dentro rimane integro, nessun problema! Volendolo migliorare io aggiungerei una maniglia per trasportarlo più comodamente, ma non è indispensabile. Per me è un ottimo prodotto, utile e pratico, sicuramente la soluzione per chi ha poco spazio. Contiene perfettamente puzzle standard fino a 1500 pezzi (quello che vedete misura 80 cm per 60 cm). Costa un po', € 37,80, ma secondo me li vale tutti, io lo ricomprerei senza dubbio, consigliato!

Gelijk in gebruik genomen heeft wel veel ruimte nodig maar goed weer op te ruimen sluit goed af.
