I figured I would go into my Tom Boy phase (thank you dad lol). I pulled out my WD-40 with the sprayer nozzle! I sprayed everywhere there was a screw (back and front of the screw) while letting the oil drip onto a paper towel! That terrible noise is gone! It still make noise as though the pieces are heavy but now it is bearable! Update. After a few uses, the sound was getting to me. I used the included oil and now the sound is unbearable. I'm trying to work with it to give the oil time to set but it's not looking good (too bad because I really like this stepper). Great product. It is easy to put together and is very well oiled. It does not squeak but does make a sound. The sound is almost as if the two steps were not tightened when it was assembled by the manufacturer.
