**Q: Why are there two in a pack?**
A: Hi Penny, there are two in a pack because they are for different sizes of blocks. The one trimmer does half sizes (1.5"-6.5") and the other one does whole number sizes(2"-6"). I use mine all the time for squaring up half square triangles blocks.They make it easy and very accurate! I think there might be a YouTube video of someone demonstrating how to use them.

**Q: For a 1/34 “ square could I make a 2” square and trim it down?**
A: I don't see why not. However, I don't think the A or B trimmer would be helpful in the second trim down from 2 to 1 3/4.  You would have to use a regular square ruler to make the second trim for precise 3/4 inch squares.  The A and B trimmers are designed for full inch and half inch squares.  There are new trimmers - C and D - that are designed for 1/4 inch and 3/4 inch squares that should fit your need better and do it in one step.  The D trimmer is for 3/4 inch and Amazon has it.

**Q: The markings are inaccurate?? The measurement to the seam line of a 2" finished square is actually at 2.5", which requires a 2.75" hst, not 2.5"...**
A: No they aren’t, but I thought that when I first used it also. Make sure you read all the writing on the ruler. Put the dashed line on your seam line, not the bottom of the fabric. Hope that makes sense.

**Q: Since the trimming is done before the hst is pressed, is the size accurate after pressing?  Does pressing after trimming distort the size?**
A: Pressing makes a perfect HST or QST. I love this tool. One of the best tools I own for quilting.

This slotted trimmer is "da bomb". I've kinda avoided half-square triangles (hst) but I desperately wanted to make the LeMoyne Star block made with hst's. So I ordered this item and it is flat out wonderful. Use it exactly according to instructions and it'll make perfect hst's for you.
