Why are coffee grinders on these coffee maker reviews?

Because, like so much of what Amazon sells, it's info. is screwed up and you have to be careful. Take the description for the Mr. Coffee brewer that Amazon calls a comparable coffee maker to this Mueller brewer: "Note 1: Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted...". This caveat for an espresso machine is on a drip coffee maker!! So--read everything and don't believe what you read! For a long time, Amazon did away with the product link to correct wrong product info. -- obviously, they brought it back.

Does the base under the carafe Rust?

Eventually the base will rust, but as in any other coffee pot bases I have ever had rusts too. The permanent filter is terrific. The Mueller Drip lasts as long as any other coffee pot, if not longer.

I want it 220v for my travel to Europe ?

I do not recommend this machine, and it is not 220v

Does the carafe keep the coffee warm? Does this brand sell a carafe that will fit this pot that does?

Yes the coffee is kept very warm. I do not know if they sell a pit to fit.
