I wanted a treatment that didn’t have an insecticide because lice can become resistant and because it can be irritating to sensitive skin. In Scandinavia, they sell a 15-minute dimethicone treatment that isn’t toxic, it basically drowns or smothers the lice. It’s effective. I thought the healthE treatment was the same thing since it’s also dimethicone based. Unfortunately this treatment didn’t work for us. First of all, you have to leave it on for 8 hours. Then it didn’t actually eliminate the lice for us. We ended up going back to the Scandinavian brand, with success. HealthE was cheaper but not worth the trouble for us.
