It is actually intended just for your carafe and mugs. Not sure if it would work for the machine as well but I decided to play it safe and not use it for that purpose. I was about to send it back to exchange for an actual descaler but figured I should try to remove the completely black stains from my carafe. It worked so well! I thought the carafe was a goner but after using this product, my carafe looks nearly new! So glad I didn't send it back and now I'm looking forward to cleaning my hydro flasks as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not Great *by F***E on Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2019* Product was easy to use but did not completely eliminate the stains especially at the bottom of my stainless steel travel mug. It also took two applications along with some scrubbing with a brush to eliminate most of the stains on the inside wall of the mug. I was hoping it would just be a pour it in, let it sit and rinse type of product, but not that easy. We will try it on a glass coffee decanter at work next to see how it works on glass, hopefully better than stainless steel. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy!!! *by H***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2020* I followed the instructions and left my Yeti cup overnight. There was no difference. I tried 2 more times, the last using the solution with no hot water as they recommended. Each treatment I left over night. No treatment made even a slight difference. I put the plastic lid in the solution and it did lighten the coffee stain but not remove it.
