MAONO PD200XS XLR/USB Dynamic Microphone Kit, RGB Gaming Mic with Software

After doing plenty of research on the variety of dynamic xlr microphones, I kept coming back to the Maono PD200X. Not only is the price point very competitive, but it has the option for USB, and XLR. My first few months of using this mic was through USB, and was told over and over by other gamers I have met that my voice was coming through so clear, and they would ask how that was so. Most people expected me to say it was a $400 mic, but when I told them it was not even 1/6th the price they couldn’t believe me. The mic and app were so easy to setup right out of the box, and it comes with a boom arm that clamps to your desk to free up space. As a new streamer, every inch of desk space matters so this was a plus for me. Since, I have swapped from USB to XLR as my new setup required it for my dual pc setup. And to add, the mic has some rgb, which lets be honest, is always a plus if your on camera. It has a convenient knob that’s easy to access for adjusting your volume and mute with a single press, and it turns red when your muted, so no second guessing, and green when your mic is active. I don’t usually leave reviews for products but I’ve had this mic for over a year now with daily use and have yet to encounter any issues, and still get compliments on the sound quality from both gamers, streamers, and viewers. If your looking to ditch the headset mic, and get a real mic that competes with the high end, but it priced on the lower end side, this is the mic for you.

For the price it’s an amazing pickup, and super easy to install it works incredibly well had no problems while trying to work it and the audio on this thing is really well for the price, the quality overall with the mount and everything included feels quite premium. Overall a very good pickup for the price.

It does exactly what it claims - no drama, no surprises. The product works the way it's designed to and showed up just as advertised - and that's exactly what I wanted. Sized as advertised. As thick as advertised. As durable as advertised. Weighed as advertised. As nice looking as advertised. The color was as advertised. Good value for the money. Noisy stand while on camera but the microphone is pretty darn good. It included several accessories. The material is metal. Very easy to set up.

I bought this microphone in Oct 2024 and for all that time it didn't sound quite right. It kept sounding a little muffled and had a pesky crackling sound. I lived with it for a year before troubleshooting the quality. I tried different XLR cables, different mixer, USB cables, a new PC, even tried a different brand microphone. It wasn't until last week that I read somewhere to download the Maono software, click "update firmware" in the top right of the window, and that 100% fixed everything. The microphone sounds crystal clear now, amazing. It's a five-star microphone, no doubt, just frustrating that updating the firmware wasn't recommended immediately after opening.

The 3.5mm headphone jack is great for monitoring in real-time. Overall, the MAONO PD200X is well-built, with high-quality materials and a robust boom arm. The kit includes everything you need to get started, except for the XLR cable, but that's a minor point. In short, this mic has been a game-changer for my son's gaming experience. It’s easy to use, versatile, and delivers excellent sound quality. He’s really enjoying it, and it’s made a noticeable difference in his streaming setup.

This is a good gadget to experiment with podcasting. Good price and quality

I purchased this mic 16 months ago to improve my audio quality while streaming. I started out using it with a USB function straight to the computer. The mic has great gain, and reverb control with the knob directly on the microphone where you can also mute it, simple function and great a microphone. We then upgraded and purchased the Maono Monocaster G1 mixer and use the XLR connection on the back of the microphone. It's very clear and crisp set properly using either USB or XLR. The sound audio is studio quality. When I make clips or go back and watch my videos on demand it's very clear and distinct. The other thing that sets this microphone and company apart is their customer service. The shock mount broke last week, I emailed the customer service department to see if there was anything they could do, they help me very quickly and are shipping me a new shock mount without 10,000 questions of how and why they just responded. Hey, we got you! I gave it five star. Would recommend to anybody that does any kind of podcasting streaming or video making, editing, vlogging etc. The boom arm it comes with is sturdy and I have not had any issues with it. Overall a fantastic product. Great price range. Great customer service.

The sound quality when recording is poor unless you download and turn on the Maono app. This requires always being sure to run the app before you begin recording.

Muy contenta con este micrófono. Es el primero que compro de este tipo y aún estoy aprendiendo a sacarle partido, pero ya he visto que capta bien mi voz y no se registran los ruidos de fondo del espacio donde grabo.

Me ha sorprendido, todo mi contenido es literalmente gritando y soy una chica, se escucha sin problemas, la verdad la calidad buenísima y el micro fácil de instalar, RECOMIENDO 100%
