Swanley Village Nursery 40 X Strawberry Plants Bare Rooted Flamenco

I couldn't believe it, but after only three days of planting, my bare root strawberry plants started growing, in autumn 2018. Last year, 2019, alas, we didn't have a single strawberry from our beautiful lush plants, but this spring 2020, the plants were soon covered in the largest number of flowers, and we are now, in early June, harvesting between 700g and 900g most days from our initial '20' plants (which made many runner plants last year!). I can see there is a steady stream of new flowers still appearing, but perhaps not as much as the initial lot. We do feed ours with strawberry fertiliser. The strawberries are big, full-flavoured and sweet, have a bit of a bulge at the base, so you don't lose any of the fruit when you cut off the stem, and the stem itself seems to snap off easily from the plant, when ready to pick. We now realise how few strawberries there are on our 'old patch' of strawberries. I can highly recommend this variety, and the bare root plants were very healthy. Excellent product, thank you!

this was my first time trying some gardening so wasn't sure exactly how to do it but after reading some online advise i have soaked the roots in warm (warm not hot) water for over an hour and planted in compost. So far 14 out of 20 have grown really quickly and nicely. I am sure that if i was more experienced i would have gotten 20 out of 20. they looked very healthy when arrived. Would definitely buy more!Update : it is now 20 out of 20 - the remaining plants were just late to wake up but now all 20 growing that speaks for itself!

My strawberry plants came well packed and were very healthy .they are growing good .only thing I would say is I don't think I got the amount I was supposed to get.

This is the second time I buy from them.Last time they died (my fault), this time around I’ve high hopes!The plants come inside an envelope which was shocking the first time but they’re strong, so no need to send them on a special container.Update: I bought them in March and now, 3 months later, I’m harvesting my beautiful and delicious strawberries.

Roots came quickly and were in good condition, I have now planted the roots and they are growing nicely. Each plant looks heathy, can wait for them to flower and the strawberry’s to grow.

Excellent seller, recieved over 30 cuttings instead of 20 and every one of them flourished. Had to give some away. Works great with these planters which have 12 holes, so 24 in 2 planters plus a few in pots. Within a week all of them has fresh sprouts growing. Picture is just 3 days short of 1 month of planting, and already strawberries are appearing. Highly recommend.

Although there was 20 nursery strawberries,because of how the delivery was handled, only 2 survived, and are happily sprauting leaves. The rest,because it was locked in a plastic envelope and without any soil, and because the delivery was delayed and took 4 days, had either dried roots or the top was moulded. i am sorry to say, but I find buying the product definitely not worth the money.

Arrived quickly. Planted same day. Looked a little worse for wear but great roots. Have grown brilliantly only been in a week and have 3 leaves and growing strongly. Not lost a single obe. No.problems at all. Soak in water for an hour before planting accomplish to play ring hole. Water well.
