So simple yet effective.
Wow!!!! Never having cut glass or acrylic before, I was really nervous about cutting huge sheets of acrylic 4mm thick for framing artwork and cross stitch but this tool was an absolute doddle to use. I cut 6 pieces roughly A4 in size in a matter of minutes. It's really comfortable to hold, feels solid and robust, and changing the blades (it comes with spares) appears to be very simple. NOTE: You will not cut right through the acrylic, just create a deep groove which then allows you to break the sheet like cutting a pane of glass. You will need to slooooowly score a line down the edge of a steel ruler or similar with the hook part, and repeat the process again to form a shallow groove. Then, using the flat edge of the blade, score down the groove half a dozen times or so, ensuring that a nice spiral of waste comes off each time. The noise is akin to nails on a blackboard (cringe). The next part is apparently similar to cutting glass, so I'm told. Hold the acrylic sheet with both hands, one hand on each side of the score line, and snap sharply along the score line. Turn the sheet round and repeat the process on the other end. There are a number of YouTube videos out there which show you exactly how to do this process far better than my description!

Good product that works well with acrylic
I had to cut some acrylic to install secondary glazing and tried cutting with a Stanley knife and it was a disaster. Pointless and it works perfectly it does cut acrylic well And made my life a hell of a lot easier

Great for cutting PCB boards and acrylic sheets
Bought this as I needed to cut thin strips of pcb from an A4 sheet. Worked very well with crisp clean straight edges. Much safer the using a bandsaw Glad I discovered this

Excellent, cuts well & cleanly.
So glad I found this, it cuts through plastic really well, not just hard plastic but thick softer plastics which seem really difficult to cut with much else. I've been looking for something to use on a RUB to make a hamster bin cage as I really didn't want to mess about with a soldering iron & this has just done the job easily & surprisingly quickly. It does make a rather horrible noise, a bit like a dentist drill! & it does take quite a few cuts but it does works well & leaves a nice clean edge. Couldn't be happier.

I'm cutting aluminum sheet 0.5 to 0.8mm thick with this tool. Use a straight edge and clamps and score it six times and snap. Cut edges need minimal deburring. The cuts are straight and large curves can be done. Its quick and easy and the blade lasts a long time. Although the handle is plastic, the blade is held in metal case inside the tool, it can take a lot of pressure. If you do not have access to sheet metal sheer this is the best way to cut thin aluminum sheet.
