Worth the extra expense.
I have bought another brand on Amazon, for about half the price of the Epson cartridges. HOWEVER, some of those cartridges barely lasted a day and others lasted maybe a week to a week and a half. Since I put in the first Epson cartridge, now over two weeks ago, it is still printing as crisp as ever, in a nice dark black ink. The other cartridge used a rapidly fading blue ink, that was often difficult to read, even before it got very dim. These cartridges don't really cost twice as much, when one of the Epson cartridges has already outlived the lifespan of SEVERAL of the other brand.

This is a REAL Epson product, works perfectly and delivered on-time. Beware of clones, had some issues.

You will not get 12
I ordered this for our Protect-Alert printers thinking this would be a great deal to have 12 ribbons as spares. I received ONE ribbon. The description clearly states that this is a 12-pack. I asked for it to be sent again, and AGAIN I received ONE ribbon. The ribbons themselves are good, but the DESCRIPTION is wrong!
