Dakine 20-Litre Garden Pack

The backpack works perfectly for what I bought it for.

I have the men's version of this and it's roomy but this seems designed for a child.

This is my second Dakine backpack. I still have my first one, which I bought 12 years ago at a ski shop in Elicottville, NY. The lining has dried-out and flaked over many years of washings, but it's still usable and I love it. I think I'm going to stash my new Dakine and use my old one for a bit longer, but am anxious to use the new one as it has a storage pocket that will be perfect for storing my crochet hooks and yarn.

I love this backpack! Color, styling, craftsmanship is all top notch. The best thing about this pack is the size and organization of the pockets. The front pocket is great for all the small stuff (wallet, keys, pens, etc) and has more space than it looks. It also has an inner zipper pocket for important things so they don't fall out when you open the main pocket. The larger opening is nice and big with a laptop separator. I got this to take to disney and it was perfect. It has a slimmer design so its easy to navigate in a crowd without knocking into people, yet larger enough for all the junk I lug for my kids with room left for souvenirs. The straps are comfortable even with lots of weight in it, but it did get a little hot on my back. I think that would be true of any loaded backpack in Florida though. The small pouch is perfect for sunglasses and cell phones. It's not waterproof, it's canvas, but it kept the contents dry on water rides. And it's super cute.

Okay, this is the first Dakine bag I purchased...because of the Jasmine design. At first glance via website this bag looks small...and apparently 17.5 x 12 x 6.5 didn't seem...that big...but boy, when it arrived I was like...this bag is huge...you can get all your school books in here...if I was still in school. So I couldn't use it as a work bag because it's way too big...but it would make for a great travel bag when flying, taking the train even a road trip...I like the material to keep you from sweating on your back...plus the zippers have the holes in them for you to add a minature lock to secure your contents.The patten is very feminine and not overly girly...it has a mature flair to it for the professional woman. I love the "sunglass" pocket...I put everything but that in it.

I needed a medium sized backpack and the price was right. The main compartment has a laptop sleeve. The mesh side pockets will not fit wider reusable water bottles. And I wish the front small pocket had a zipper or even a snap button strap, just something to make sure stuff stays in. But overall, I'm happy with this item.

I love it is just awesome!! I purchase this backpack due to an elbow injury. I no longer carry a purse or a lunch bag. Everything goes in my backpack including my bottle water. There is plenty of room inside, small pockets for pens, etc... There is also a space for a lap top plus protection for the lap top. I keep my glasses in one of the special pockets made just for glasses. I have had lot's of compliments on it as well. I searched for a backpack in all store and there was nothing that I liked. The designs on it are beautiful!! It is well made and easy to wipe incase there are any spills, it is well worth the money!! ;)

This is my all-around carrier for computer, office papers, extra clothes, snacks, knitting, Kindle, and even serves as a grocery bag when I'm traveling. It fits under the smallest airline seat or in an unobtrusive corner. I don't feel like a dork carrying it in public.The harness is comfortable. The pack, empty or loaded, doesn't bounce or slip, even if a jog a few steps. There are ample internal and external compartments to keep things organized. The media pocket is generously sized. The computer area is padded. It's much lighter than the pack it's replaces.Did I mention the feather motif and colors make me feel pretty without feeling girlish?I expect the Garden Pack to stand up to constant use for a year or more.

Ich mag es farbenfroh und habe mir diesen gut durchdachten Rucksack in Türkistönen für meinen Sommerurlaub gekauft. Es ist wirklich viel Platz darin, die Halteträger sind schön breit und gut abgepolstert, sodass sie nicht ins Fleisch schneiden, falls man mal schwer trägt ;-)Er hat viele Fächer für Kleinkram, je rechts und links Netzeinsätze für Flaschen o.ä. und im Hauptfach sogar noch ein separates Fach für ein Laptop oder IPad....oder, oder.....Nur die Farbe der Innenverkleidung (gelb) ist nicht so ganz passend in meinen Augen. Zumal es empfindlich ist und ich es harmonischer gefunden hätte, wenn es passend zum Äußeren gewählt worden wäre. Aber was soll's. Innen seh nur ich es und niemand anderes.....Nach meinem Urlaub (Juni) werde ich berichten, ob ich immer noch so zufrieden bin :)

Ich habe den Rucksack vor ca. 2 Jahren gekauft und musste ihn nun leider entsorgen. Die Beschichtung auf der Innenseite hat sich im oberen Bereich des Hauptfachs nach und nach aufgelöst, so dass ich den ganzen Rucksack voller Krümmel dieser Beschichtung hatte. Dieser Prozess hat sich immer weiter fortgesetzt, vermutlich war der Rucksack an dieser Stelle auch nicht mehr wasserdicht. Außerdem hatten sich am Boden des Rucksacks an den Ecken von außen kleine Löcher gebildet.Ich fand den Rucksack sehr praktisch, nur hätte ich mir auch bei nahezu täglichem Gebrauch doch eine längere Lebensdauer als 2 Jahre gewünscht.

Bin ganz begeistert, was man doch so alles darin noch unterbringt :-)Nutze ihn für die Uni und brauche, daher auch öfters meinen Laptop, der Dank dem Extra-fach super gut geschützt ist. Außerdem ist noch viel Platz für ein paar Hefte oder Bücher. Was ich auch super gut finde, sind auf der Seiten die Taschen, so dass man sogar eine 0,75l Flasche reinstecken kann. Habe da schon schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht, wenn die Flasche im (!) Rucksack einmal ausläuft. Ansonsten bin ich bis jetzt super zufrieden damit :-)

Meine Tochter (Grundschülerin) ist einwenig zu klein für ihr Alter und wäre eigentlich mit einem Tornister gut beraten, aber Kinder wären keine Kinder, wenn sie nicht unbedingt etwas anderes haben wollten...einen Rucksack!Der Dakine DAMEN Rucksack hat sich als perfekter Schulrucksack herausgestellt. Das "tonnenschwere" Gewicht der Schulbücher und -Hefte ist sehr gut verteilt und Platz für die Brotdose und die Trinkflasche ist auch noch vorhanden. Ich kann nur sagen DAUMEN HOCH für den Dakibe, nicht nur für große Damen, sondern auch für kleine Damen geeignet ;-)

Ich trage den Rucksack nun schon eine ganze Weile täglich und er sieht immer noch gut aus. Innen zwei große Fächer und vorne nochmal ein separates Fach, was ebenfalls innen noch einmal mit einem Reisverschluss unterteilt ist. Seitlich sind Netze und oben gibt es ein kleines Extrafach mit Reisverschluss, was ich für mein Handy benutze. Rucksack ist bequem auf dem Rücken und schulterschonend durch die breiten Schulterriemen, die beliebig und leicht verstellbar sind. Tolle Verarbeitung und tolle Optik und Haptik. Fünf Sterne.
