I wore out most of my nice worn soft jeans. I did not want to buy new jeans but I had a couple pair that were a bit larger in the waist left in my closet. These buttons did the trick. If you only have to take up an inch or less they should work okay. The size of these buttons fit the buttonholes on my jeans. I suppose they could slip through bigger button holes, but I have not had that problem. They are easy to use and fairly easy to put in. These buttons are held in place by a tiny screw. They come with a tiny screw driver to drive the screw through the cloth so you can screw the button on. This means there is not a bump on the inside of your pants to rub against you so, they are pretty comfortable during wear. However, if the fold of material is too thick for the tiny screw the button won't hold. Up to just an inch, the zipper will be a bit crooked, but won't but noticeable with a shirt out over the waist. For more than an inch, I would suggest those clip pins that you can apply to the jeans on either side of the waist to give them a more balanced appearance and wear.

I got these to repair/replace the top button of a button-fly pair of jeans. First, the price of these is quite inexpensive it seems, which is good. I got the larger 20mm size in part because it was for the top button. These arrived neatly packed in a zip bag inside a zip bag. I was surprised how tiny the screwdriver is and how tiny the phillips indenture in the button backing screw. In fact the backing screw was pretty small too. For a new piece of clothing that may be fine, but if you are repairing/replacing an existing button with an existing hole, the backing screw may be too small and would come through the hole. You can see in my pictures a comparison of this backing screw diameter vs. the existing buttons' backing diameter. Consequently I used a small washer under the screw head to cover the hole in my jeans so the backing wouldn't come through. This meant I lost a thread or two of attachment security in the button. Still, it seems pretty secure, but only use and washing will tell how secure it holds up. It would be nice if the phillips indenture and screwdriver was just a little larger too. It seems excessively tiny and when using the screwdriver there is not a sense of ensuring you have tightened the button sufficiently. The design concept is a great idea for jeans buttons, but needs some improvement. In any case, I am glad to have these jeans back in operation, at least as long as this button holds up, but now I have 7 spares. I do wish these types of buttons came in more variety to match existing buttons. It is odd to me that jeans come with fasteners that you cannot purchase identical replacements for.

I'm very overweight. 350 lbs. I added this as a second emergency backup rivet to all my jeans. Sometimes I hook onto it to test it. Seems to work. none of them have come loose. I think it's good.

I'm doing my first leather crafting project. I'm making a copy of the presidents book from the National Treasure movie, Book of secrets. These will do the trick until I can find something more screen accurate later.

Bouton jean à visser avec le tournevis se servir de lui pour percer un trou avant d' y insérer la vis au dos du tissus puis mettre le bouton sur la vis fonctionne super bien sur tissus jeans, coton, polaire... pratique et ludique.
