Safest option for lava lamp
I really like it! I got this shape bc i was scared about it toppling over and i’m super happy with it. I was scared about it getting really hot and being a potential fire hazard but it isn’t that hot to the touch! it’s pretty big with a lot of goopy gloppy and started working after about 30 minutes plugged in. i would for sure recommend this model.

Buy a set of extra bulbs when you buy this lamp
Lamp looks cool but the bulb was crushed in the package. Had to buy some new ones before I could use it. Other than that its fine.

Don’t bother
I got these for my kids as part of their Christmas gifts and they’ve not worked properly yet. I chose them because I liked the shape—I figured it might be less prone to toppling over than the traditional rocket-shaped lamp. That may be true, however the wax in these doesn’t want to flow. It will melt and create one solid column of wax, but it doesn’t flow like a traditional one. Sometimes they’ll overheat and the wax will get a ton of air bubbles in it. Of the two I purchased, one of them has already blown through 3 bulbs in 3months. I’m well past the point of being able to return these, and I really tried to give them a chance (I tried fresh bulbs in case the ones it came with were duds, we changed outlets and placement in case it was reflecting too much heat back to itself, etc), but these lamps were a waste of money. If you’re looking for a lava lamp, please just go ahead and get a real one. This “bargain” wasn’t a bargain, and I wish I’d returned these in time.

Works just as a lava lamp should. My son loves it been using it for 2 years with no issues.

Roll of the dice
Quality control issues. The first one had a broken (shattered) bulb. The second one was dented like it was dropped before it was boxed up. The 3rd one works and he likes it. These weren't shipping issues; the boxes were undamaged.
