This sourdough bread baking kit is exactly what I needed to get started with making my own sourdough at home. Functional item in my kitchen, keeps me baking bread 2x week. The thermometer strip doesn't work well for me, can't really see the temp, but my starter doesn't mind, it lives in the fridge. Size is just right for the amount of baking I do, the cloth cover is cute and protects the starter well, letting it "breathe" 😀 The stretchy band is awesome too, enables me to mark feedings, otherwise I would have to remember when starter was fed. Positioning it on the date and time of last feeding makes it very easy.

Love the durability of this jar, the looks are amazing and very easy to use. The lid quality is great especially when you put your starter to sleep in the fridge.

This is a great little jar + accessory set for sourdough. I love the width of the jar and the little cloth cap cover it comes with, making it breathable for your growing sourdough starter. I love that it also comes with a spatula that is the perfect length/width. The thermometer sticker and the date/time band are both perfect additions to the set, too. I love that there is a lid included if you want to put your jar in the fridge. The jar seems very durable and it is skinny enough to fit on our warmer plate. The downside? The 24oz jar will very quickly become too small for a happy sourdough starter. The attached pictures are both from today. As you can see, we are very quickly approaching the top of the jar! While that is amazing growth for our starter, I don't think overflowing is on my agenda. I'd buy this jar again, but I do wish it were bigger by a good amount, without getting too much wider.

The thermometer on the side, the elastic measuring is neat, the jar is smooth on the inside and straight for easy stirring and scraping. I've tried the cloth cover, but my dough dries out on top too much, so I place the lid on top, loosely. The scraper is comfortable, and easy to use. Everything cleans up well. I only wash by hand.

I’m really happy with this sourdough starter jar kit! It works exactly as I expected and makes feeding and maintaining my starter so much easier. The jar is the perfect size, and the included spatula, cloth cover, and feeding time rubber band are super handy for keeping everything organized and on track. One thing to note is that the jar isn’t dishwasher safe (as stated), but I made the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher anyway and accidentally broke the thermometer. Fortunately, the kit comes with two thermometers, so I had a backup—definitely a thoughtful addition! Overall, this is a great kit for anyone working with sourdough, whether you’re a beginner or experienced baker. Just be careful to follow the care instructions! Highly recommend.

These jars are amazing! I love it for my starter! It comes with everything I need for starting out and feeding my sourdough starter. I highly recommend to anyone starting out. It’s a nice bigger size to which is perfect for double dough days and seems pretty durable when I tap it on the counter lightly.

This is a gift so it hasn't been used yet but it looks of good quality, hopefully the recipient will be happy with it.
