The best beat em up and platformer controller.
The Sega Saturn pad is widely regarded as one of the best pads for fighting games if you don't have an arcade stick. This licensed pad is no exception. Works great on a actual Sega Saturn or Saroo, takes a little bit of time to get it right in things like retroarch but it's worth persevering. Hall sticks feel good, if a little close together. Definitely my go to pad for most games now.

Very good
I bought this mainly to have a Bluetooth controller for my Sega Saturn and for that purpose it's great. The controller itself is a good size and the d-pad and buttons all fell good. Responsiveness is fine although I believe that improved when I updated the firmware. I do need to reconnect every time I turn the Saturn on. It doesn't remember the connection so I need to reset the controller and reconnect. It's simple enough and clearly explained how to do this in the small manual. As for the analogue sticks, they're too small. You can't really get much precision out of them It's fun to try some games with them to see how they handle differently, but if I'd bought this solely for the analog sticks I'd be disappointed. However as a standard Saturn Bluetooth controller it's great.

Developed A Fault After Few Days & Feels Cheap
I liked the controller at first but then issues occurred. First of all the main issue is it has developed a fault, the controller LED's won't stop flashing, the controller disconnects then automatically switched to D-Input mode, i press the button combo to get it back into X-Input mode which lasts for about a minute or less then the controller does the same thing again! I don't know if it is the controller or the wireless dongle doing this but it never happened until now and i have tried turning it off, resyncing, charging the controller etc and it is still doing it! This has now left me without a fightpad for Tekken 8 until i buy one from another brand! Also the controller feels cheap, it feels hollow, it is awkward to hold because of the analog sticks shoved onto the bottom of the pad when they could have been in the middle. The end buttons on the kind of pads usually are assigned to Right Bumper & Right Trigger for fighting games like Street fighter but this pad the top end button is Right Bumper but the bottom one is left bumper so you have to manually change the control settings in every fighting game you use with this. One of the other main problems is there is no way to turn the controller off! There is no button combo or even holding the start buttons etc doesn't turn the controller off you just need to wait for 5 minutes for it to auto turn off but this kills the battery so you have to charge it often. No other brand makes a wireless controller you can't turn off when you need to so Retrobit need to fix this, i doubt i will be back to buy any of their items even if they do to be honest, a better brand to use would be 8BitDo, their items feel quality made and you can turn them off when you need to! All of the issues aside i could live with them as the controller with analogs does come in handy for playing retro arcade games etc but now it has developed this disconnecting and switching to D-input mode fault i can't look past it anymore so will be returning it.

Great Saturn 6 button update!
Great controller with a nice modern twist on that authentic retro Saturn 6 button perfection. This was my favourite pad growing up and this upgrade does it more than justice.

Does not work with PS5
Controller feels great for Switch and PS4 but unfortunately does not work for PS5. Seems like a poor choice to not build it with PS5 functionality during the now 4th year of the current console generation.

Decent enough build and features, bad for updates and support
I like the controller itself, wanted to love it since the Saturn controller is one of my all time favourites so the prospect of an updated version seems like a huge win, it feels good, looks great and at first it worked fine, synched well enough once it was put in the right mode. Although I'd recommend them to change the inputs to put the controllers in different modes B+Start to change between all modes? I didn't like this design choice. Buuuuut, problems arose when I tried to update as adviced in the box itself. The updater is poorly implemented, despite following all instructions the updater wouldn't detect the controller and to update the controller you need to put it in update mode which basically bricked the controller. After contacting support, they took over a week to get in touch, the first solution was basically the same as the regular instructions to update but while trying to use other USB cables and ports. No changes and no further development. Soon after writing this, I'll likely be refunding it. I'm basically giving points due to positive initial impressions, but they really ought to improve their updater, or improve failsafes to revert the controller when in update mode. If you want a controller for your PC , go with an 8-Bitdo. Better support and interface.

I gave this pad less credit then it's worth so I will rewrite it. I was under the impression that all the buttons are mappable on PC. The two top triggers read as two of the 6 buttons in the main area. The biggest disappointment was that you cannot change the location of those inputs because of the way the controller was programmed. If you put in a little effort it's possible to get an okay experience for PC.

Cette manette est vraiment très fonctionnelle. Répond très bien sur Sega Saturn.

I expected more of a controller of this price tag. My main complaints are: - Pairing is not fast. For the Sega Saturn, it paired almost immediately. - For the computer, it paired after a few tries. - For the Switch, I have failed to pair it. And I downloaded the 1st day patch, followed instructions, reset the device... all of it. Also, the materials don't look very sturdy to me.

The Retro-Bit wireless Saturn controller is an excellent modern take on Sega's classic gamepad, featuring two thumbsticks, four shoulder buttons, and 3D Control Pad functionality. It comes with two dongles: one for the original Sega Saturn console and one USB dongle for PC use. Pairing with the Saturn is instant, with the default mode activating the D-pad and six face buttons for standard gameplay. Switching to 3D Control Pad mode enables the left thumbstick to behave exactly like the original 3D Control Pad’s analog stick. However, it's worth noting that the analog triggers of the original 3D Control Pad are mapped to the two large shoulder buttons here functioning digitally (full press only) rather than offering gradual pressure sensitivity. The controller was tested with Panzer Dragoon, Nights into Dreams, Sega Rally Plus, and Sega Touring Car Championship. Especially in Sega Touring Car, the thumbstick control felt much more accurate and responsive compared to using the D-pad. One important tip: the 3D Control Pad mode must be activated before powering on the console for the Saturn to correctly recognize the controller. In my opinion, it's a fantastic wireless solution that balances modern convenience with authentic retro gameplay.
