Activated bleaching earth, also known as activated clay made from bentonite. It is a highly active adsorbent and the most widely used in decolorization in the oil industry. Activated bleaching earth has a strong adsorption capacity for pigments in oil, especially chlorophyll and other colloidal impurities. It has a stronger adsorption capacity for basic atomic groups and polar atomic groups.
