### ⭐⭐⭐

    Jammed open on third use

*by D***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 September 2018*

First impressions were very favourable, the stick is a good height for me (I'm 6'4") and the camera is at a good height when using as a mono pod. First two trips I was very happy with how the stick worked helping me feel more confident on poor terrain despite ageing limbs. However, after my third walk the upper mechanism has jammed and the stick is now stuck in the extended position. It will be a nightmare to package for return and for the amount of money involved a considerable amount of hassle so I won't be bothering. However, as others have commented quality control seems to be an issue so purchase with caution.

A surprisingly good Walking stick and casual use Monopod.

A nice sprung walking stick. Remove the compass and you have a expose the screw that attaches your camera to the stick so that you can use it as a monopod. The attachment provided can be moved through 90dg and is tight so could be useful, but there is no method to tighten up. You could buy a small ball head and mount this would give a long term solution. I haven't done that yet, but I have added a quick release plate so that I can add and remove a camera quickly. I have used this in monopod mode with a Nikon Df plus Nikon 24-125mm VR lens. The combination is heavy, but in conjunction with VR operating, I have had some could results taking night shots. The stick rubber fule covering a ground spike. So you can unscrew the fule and use the monopod on soft ground or use it with the cover for hard ground. It's a good walking stick / casual use Monopod. If your need is for a heavy duty monopod this isn't for you, but if you want a cheap walking stick / occasional camera support then this is a good option.

    Good combination product.

I chose this Monopod over others because of its versatility. I do a lot of hillwalking and photography and this product covered both.I ordered it on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday. I haven't been out with it yet, but it looks the business. Good quality telescopic walking pool, very similar to my own walking poles which have done about 20 Munros, so I am expecting the same from this product. The camera mounting on the top looks good and is sturdy enough to support my Bridge Camera with full tele conversion lens fitted. There is no panning arm etc or quick release, but I reckon I will be able to fit a quick release if I decide. Regards panning don't really see a need on a monopod ? In conclusion I would recommend this product and also the seller for good packaging and fast response to my order.
