The BEST large format resin printer on the market right now
Let me start off by saying this is the second time I've purchased this machine. I originally bought one when it first came out and recently sold it locally. I did so in the hopes of upgrading to a newer and better large format printer. I researched the other options, even buying one and trying it out. I hoped that the Jupiter 2 would have been announced by now, but unfortunately Elegoo has provided no information on it. So, as of now, this is the better printer at this size. It just works. The other printers I considered boast all these nonsensical features that just add to the cost and barely provide any additional function. The Jupiter SE is a very simple printer but it is well built and works right out the box. Of course, you need to dial in your resin settings, but once you do, you'll have a great experience. Other printers at this size use the inferior ACF release film, while the Jupiter SE has a PFA sheet. You won't get the fastest print speeds out of this printer, but if you're like me you care more about quality than speed. The 6K screen does feel a bit outdated nowadays, but I didn't get this printer for fine quality, I got it because I can print very large items on it. And even at 50um resolution, the quality is still fantastic. This printer is the smallest of all the large format printers. The Mega 8KS by Phrozen is huge in comparison. But I think there are some trade-offs that make this size difference worth it in my opinion. Keep in mind when buying a printer, you will need to eventually purchase the various consumables needed. This means switching the release film periodically, and eventually the LCD screen. Elegoo offers these replacement parts for very reasonable prices, a 5 pack of PFA sheets go for $50 while the LCD screen is about $150. Contrast this to Phrozen's Mega 8KS, a single sheet of ACF is about $60, while the replacement LCD is nearly $400. This is a similar trend with the other large format printer options. Yes, I would like if the lid was flip top. Yeah, a built in VAT heater is nice. Yes, a higher resolution screen would make this the best printer of its size without question. But even without these things, and the additional features these other printers may have. the most important aspects, aka the basics, this printer gets right. I'll briefly mention this printer comes with a carbon air filter, which is pretty useless, and the auto-feed resin pump. I've used it before and it works, but I find it unnecessary as I rather just manually pour more resin than relying on it. The GK3 Ultra is absurdly expensive and has its issues. The Anycubic M7 Max is either great or horrible (their quality control seems to be an issue). The Phrozen Sonic Mega 8KS is good, but tricky to use due to its size. Peopoly has the Forge, but they seem to have exited the consumer side, following the footsteps of Formlabs. Those are your options. In my opinion, if you want a headache free experience, get the Jupiter SE. If you can wait a bit longer, consider waiting for the Jupiter 2, but that will be nearly twice as expensive. For the price, this printer is an absolute unit of a machine.

Very large but Ungainly
Very large, only 1 Wash and Cure machine from a competitor will accommodate the build plate with a print on it. Entire kid is removed to access the build plate instead of it being hinged which is odd since it's almost 3 feet tall. Other than that it's an excellent machine, not the fastest but for the size and level of detail it's capable of it's a good deal but definitely not a beginner's machine. Takes some tinkering to get optimal print quality that properly adheres to the build plate due to size and potential FEP suction.

Gift was a hit !
My grandson loves this and making everything with it . It’s easy to use , was small enough to fit in the playroom, and was easily set up and ready to print . Every thing comes out nice !

Junk
When this product works, I will give it a higher review, but until then I give one star. When I receive this product, I set it up properly follow the directions didn’t damage anything and it would not print. I tried to level the bed multiple times multiple ways. I try to preheat my environment with the heater that I purchased. I tried the preheat the resin. I manually added resin because my auto feeder was not adding resin for me. I will say, though that I give the customer service for Elegoo a five star rating. With a 12 hour difference, they are able to reply to me very quickly. I was told that my screen is bad and they asked for my information to fix this problem. I will keep this review updated and hopefully the part that they send me works because I know this is a good printer. Update 3/20/2025 So after they sent me a replacement LCD screen, I installed it like they asked me to and showed me in the video and it doesn’t work. The LCD screen doesn’t display anything and the fan stopped working. I am sending this paper weight back because there is no reason why it shouldn’t work right out of the box just like everybody else that purchases this one. I am no longer using Elegoo. I tried taking a star away, but it won’t let me so I don’t actually rate this at a one. I rate it out of zero.

Great printer once you learn its quirks.
I’m an experienced resin printer. This is a larger format printer. A tough lesson learned on this machine is to start your larger prints with the vat about half full. I had resin overflow and it ruined components. Fixed that and found larger prints need heavier supports. Once I learned some lessons, the rest of process works very well. And it’s been a great printer.

Great printer - half baked features.
TLDR; this otherwise wonderful printer is held back by a design flaw based around the resin recycler. The Elegoo Jupiter SE is a great printer that has an extremely annoying Achilles heel. The print quality is solid for the size, and works great for larger pieces that I've been cutting up for my smaller Elegoo mars 2P. Unfortunately, this printer comes with an included resin recycler & refiller that is barely functional. It only works with Elegoo resin bottles (you have to swap your bottle lid out for one with a suction tube). Since Elegoo doesn't make every color and kind of resin, you'll be keeping empty Elegoo bottles around just to put other resin in. They also won't send you empty bottles or let you buy them (I asked!) so if you don't like Elegoo's resin, you are SOL. According to the warnings all over the setup booklet and the recycler itself, the recycler is extremely fragile. Another down side to an otherwise potentially great feature. After my first test print, I used the recycler to recover resin from the vat, which worked well! The nozzle went down, and pulled resin into the bottle until it complained the bottle was full, which is strange, given I used a half empty bottle. I stopped the recycler so I could manually pour the rest out and... The nozzle stayed put, holding the vat in place. I had to manually remove the the resin recycler module by unscrewing it to free my vat so I could recycle the rest of my resin. The warnings state not to move the nozzle manually, so I tried every button to get it back up. Nothing worked, so I manually moved it, which in turn left it unable to move automatically. This, by itself, would usually not warrant a 3 star review, as I would remove the recycler from the system and live without it. Unfortunately, Elegoo cut the cover expecting you to have it installed. So to prevent dust from entering the system, I must leave it in place, getting in the way on every print. Note - I've received a new recycler from Elegoo support. I'm testing it now on a large set of prints and will update this review accordingly. For good customer service, updated to 4 stars.

Only printer in this class worth buying. I now own 2
You won’t find a better printer out there for the money. Smell is next to non existent . Although when you start dabbling with other resin brands the fumes can kick up. I recommend installing a little duct vent fan when you advance. The led is durable and prints beautiful parts with amazing detail. It has a very fast speed. When you dial in you nesting skills you can manipulate parts to print very fast. Easy to use. Easy to work on. All around great product for the money invested. A little insight on its durability. I have printed a little over 250kg of resin. This machine never shuts off. 24/7
