Perfect 👌
The smell honestly is barely noticable u less you're actually sniffing the product itself , a little extra woodglue helped but wasn't necessary, and the peices are delicate, but you can tell from the pictures they're not tightly compressed so unless you're manhandling them, they're absolutely fine. I even pulled a tile back up to add an extra sticker and it held up fine ! These are making up a dart backboard and they're perfect for the project. No issues, 100% will buy again if my aim continues to be awful and I tear them up too bad 😅

Great cork tiles - Don't let the price deter you
These cork tiles were exactly what I had hoped they would be. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. Yes,they are a little porous and you can see through some small holes if you hold them up to sunlight (see pics) but once they are on the wall - mine was a white wall - you can't see any holes. Yes, they have a slight smokey smell. Yes, being only 3/8" thick and made of cork they will break if you're careless - I wasn't careless and I didn't break any. Yes, they are a little powdery but really nothing of concern (see pics). As for the adhesive, meh, they could do better. The double sided sticky squares seem adequate (maybe) if you aren't planning on using them as a bulletin board with push pins. I had some construction adhesive laying around so I added some of that (see pics).

Good value, but know a few things beforehand
Getting sixteen 12x12 panels for about 40 bucks gave me great coverage for the money. The color's nice, thickness is practical, and the panels are fairly easy to work with (cut, match up, adhere.) Gonna underscore other reviewers on a few points: burnt wood smell is intense at first, this is chunky cork so there are holes & crumbled edges in places, and the adhesive strips are pretty weak (and not enough of them) for the panels they're holding. Filling a 22" x 70" wall was a far messier job than I'd anticipated—with much crumbling, re-taping, and vacuuming involved—but in the end, it came out how I wanted. I'd recommend the product with the caveat that you may have to fill some holes, buy a good amount of strong double-sided tape, and get a little crafty to make it work. But IMO, the look is far superior to the traditional tan, thin, office-style cork.

Still smells like campfire… nearly 4y on & counting
Title mostly says it, but it is inexpensive and looks okay. But it smells like a campfire in my office today (Nov 2022) from install (Jan 2109), especially when the door has been closed for a while or it’s a hot day. Another downside warning: because it’s so thin, regular tacks don’t stay in very well, like the tacks are too heavy for the skinny cork. We found slim little pins have worked better, and seem more suited to the material. If I could go back, we’d shell out more $ for thicker, higher quality cork (we have thick cork in the kitchen and it’s been great with all types of tacks and zero lingering smell). Would not recommend this product unless it’s going outside. It’s stinks. Pun intended 😂

Perfect match to my old ones
They say everything gets chinsey over time..... These are identical in size, thickness and weight to the ones I put up on a wall in the 80's. I used them to patch up that wall where I pulled a bookcase out, and repair the damage from years of thumb-tack abuse. They fit and look great. The rating asks about "adhesion" and "sturdyness".................but, just an FYI, these are not self stick, and no cork product would really be considered sturdy. But, you spread glue on the wall (or whatever you are covering), I used a PL400 type glue from a caulk gun, and they stick right on, forever. As long as the wall is sturdy, so are they lol. Definatly a good buy.

If it sounds too good to be true, it likely is so. I took a gamble on these because of these cork panels because of the price. I'm using them to fill an 8'x4' wall space. While I'm making them work, I found out early that the slightest pressure will cause the panel to crumble. Two broke while taking off the plastic wrapper. They are made from chunky pieces of cork that are loosely fitted together so that just about every panel has a hole in it. With a dark background it may not matter. Anyway, just know that you get what you pay for.

Classroom board
I hot-glued these to a space to make a display board. Went on nicely and joined up perfectly. Was able to place display quickly and it stayed put for several years. The initial smell was a bit offensive but it dissipated quickly. The color (dark) helped the display really pop!

Functional but could be better
I wanted these to make a command center to post my kid’s school schedule, lunch menu, online class info, art work, etc. The dark color is what caught my attention since I was going to stick them to our cherry cabinet and thought it would blend in well with our decor. 1. These stink like a campfire. Frankly, they were probably put into a smoker to get the dark/charred color. 2. Crumbs EVERYWHERE when you touch it or brush up against it. 3. There are large gaps between some of the pieces of cork that have been compressed together to make this. For some tiles, the gap goes all the way through and it’s like Swiss cheese. Will have to watch where I stick pins. Because it’s like particle board, I think it is less sturdy than your typical oak colored framed cork boards. Chunks were flaking off as I was hanging them. 4. I hung these with command strips. It came with adhesive patches, but there is no indication in the Amazon description and no directions in the packaging as to whether or not these would ruin my cabinets or walls or is the adhesive is removable. 5. The tiles are 3/8 inch thick. One part of the amazon description says 3/8, another says 1/2 inch. Bottom line, looks nice, will serve its purpose, but it could be better.

Beau liège mais se casse facilement. À manipuler avec beaucoup de délicatesse. Une fois installer, ça donne un très beau résultat.
