If you want to build up callouses for bare knuckle training then you should go without gloves. If you are trying to develop punch strength and plan on heavy use, gloves are recommended. I'm 6' tall. i'm looking for a bag for cardio punching workouts. no heavy mma training. is this bag suitable for me?

If you are sticking to lighter, faster cardio, you should be OK. This bag is fairly easy for an adult to knock over. You will definitely want to use sand to fill the base as it is much heavier than using water. When you first assemble the Original Wavemaster at its lowest point the approximate height would be 47" from the floor to the top of the Wavemaster.
