Great pool, and customer support
The pool is fantastic! Easy to setup and perfect size for us short people. My family range from 4'9" to 5'5". 4 of us and we're all happily cooling off in the water. It looks very nice and clarity is as good as you keep it maintained. The liner is thick enough not to really worry. I think the value for money is almost 100%. The pool is great, but pump is very finicky. Any air leak will prevent flow. It's already on the lower end for 800 gallons. Also putting on the wrong tips on the wrong place prevent you from feeling any stream. Make sure the two caged filters are on the suction and the round hole is on the eject to make stream. Weak pump is the minus 1 star. I did have missing parts and support sent me a new pool quickly. Great support, otherwise I'd be docking more stars. Updating my review. Filter is actually running great. Quiet and gentle air flow. After 1 week of running and cleaning out the filter, it's running better than initially. Performing as expected now. Not sure why the first week wasn't up to par.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Best Small Backyard Pool for Instant Summer Happiness
I bought this Bestway Steel Pro above ground pool on a total whim, and it quickly became the best thing I’ve done for my backyard all summer. It’s the perfect mix of budget-friendly, durable, and ridiculously fun. 💦 Size & Setup: This 830-gallon rectangular pool is the ideal size for adults, teens, or kids who want more than a kiddie pool but don’t need a giant in-ground setup. Two people can float comfortably, and yes, it fits a massive inflatable. Setup took about 30–40 minutes, and once filled, it looked like it cost way more than it did. 🛠️ Filter Tip: The included cartridge filter pump is okay for short-term use, but I highly recommend upgrading the filter if you plan to keep it running all summer. After swapping mine out, the water stayed way clearer with way less work. 💡 Pro Tips: • Use 1/4 of a chlorine tab at a time — 3” tabs are too strong for smaller pools. • Skim and cover daily to keep bugs and debris out. • Place it on foam pads or rubber mats to protect the bottom and make it more comfortable to walk in. • Add a cute chlorine floater (mine’s a flamingo) for extra ✨vibes✨. 🔥 Why I Love It: The pool looks amazing, holds up to daily use, and turned my backyard patio space into a full-on chill zone. Whether you’re lounging solo or letting the kids splash around, it’s the perfect low-maintenance summer pool. ⸻ Bottom Line: If you want a small backyard pool that’s affordable, cute, and perfect for hot days, this is it. Buy it, float in it, and suddenly you’re the main character.

Perfect Backyard Pool for Summer Fun
The Bestway Steel Pro Rectangular Above Ground Pool has been a fantastic addition to our backyard. At nearly 10 feet long and over 800 gallons, it’s the perfect size for kids to splash around and adults to cool off. Setup was surprisingly easy—the steel frame is sturdy and clicks together smoothly, and the liner feels thick and durable. Once filled, the pool holds its shape beautifully. The water depth is just right for lounging or light swimming, and the rectangular design makes it feel more spacious than round pools of similar size. It’s also easy to maintain with the included pump, and the drain valve makes cleanup a breeze. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, well-built pool that doesn’t take up your entire yard but still delivers hours of summer fun, this one hits the mark.

The Pool is Great!
I purchased the pool for my dogs to swim in and it's the perfect size for that. It was pretty easy to put together, even though the instructions weren't so clear. I did have my doubts that I was putting it together correctly half the time, because the poles have a hole on one side making it seem like it should lock into something. But it's only the corners that have a locking pin. I would have given this 5 stars, but the pump is awful. Mine leaks in a couple hoses and from the pump itself. The pump had a loud whine to it sounding like it was going to die anytime - well it did. I've had the pool about two weeks and the pump isn't working anymore. I was also hoping to keep it up all winter, but with the water leaking out of the hoses that isn't going to work. So the pool itself is great. Durable, heavy duty and a great price. But I'm not sure what to do about the pump. I'm hoping to find a decent replacement that will hold up longer than two weeks.

Worth the effort
This is our second Bestway Steel Pro, we had a smaller one before and this new 10 foot one fit nicely in the same spot, and we added a higher volume pump. It's a bit of a project to level the ground, put it together, and set it up (took me 2 days of working on it here and there whenever I had some time, probably 3-4 hours total). Also I got some workspace padding (the interlocking padding used on the floor by a workbench to relieve tired feet) and put that under the entire pool for a softer floor for the kids. In our experience, these pools are entirely worth the effort and a great upgrade from basic blow-up pools that don't have a filter. With a filter, you never need to change the water (though you will need to change the filter every couple weeks and also learn basic pool chemistry, get some baking soda, a chlorine pellet dispenser and a pool test kit to keep the water pristine and crystal clear). You can find videos to walk through all that online so it's not too difficult. The one downside I noticed with this class of pools is the filter pipes tend to get brittle and leak after about a year, but replacement hoses are affordable. The biggest upside is how much the kids love it!!

DONT BUY IT!
I bought this for my 4 year olds birthday. He was SO excited because we live in a super hot area and he doesn't know how to swim yet so I thought it would be perfect to teach him and his brother to swim in. WELL his birthday came, we started setting it up, it took FOREVER to do (about 5 or 6 or hours) and to add to it, it was HOT that day so we were sweating our butt's off trying to get this darn pool up. We finally got it assembled and started filling it up and not even 2 inches of water deep my son screamed "it's leaking!!!" And you know what? He was right! The stitching in EVERY CORNER of the pool was leaking!! At that time I was trying to attach the filter (yeah I was STILL working on the pool after 6 hours) and I just tossed the filter aside and knew I'd have to send the whole damn thing back. NOW I have to disassemble the whole thing, pack it ALL back up and send it back. I did message the seller. They offered to send me "the parts that are defective" but my problem with that is it would be the whole liner, and the poles have these plastic pins that you push inside them that help them stay together. If I take those apart the pins will definitely break so ill need all of those as well. Basically If I'm going to be taking everything apart to replace the liner anyway I'm just going to send the pool back and get a different brand that won't leak.

Pool Great, Pump Failed
The pool is great. Perfect size for a 2, 4 and 6-year-olds together splashing vigorously. Setup was okay, instructions were not. The filter pump is terrible. It stopped working after two months and now the water has so many small particulates that I will need to drain the pool completely. Before it stopped working, the pump was woefully inadequate. Customer service link got me nowhere. No response from info link. New and better pumps cost as much as the pool. Was planning to get a new and better filter pump for next season. This season will end too soon.

Great value for money, good durability, barebones manual
Echoing what the consensus here seems to be: Great value for money, manual leaves a lot to be desired, additional purchases recommended. Got the 9.8' x 6.6' x 26" rectangular pool - bought before the summer rush at a wildly low price, pump included (other reviews mention not getting a pump; the listing we used stated an included pump clearly and, indeed, it came with the pool). The pool lining is sturdier than hoped, we still added a tarp liner underneath the pool set-up, to be safe. Also bought a recommended pool cover ( a simple tie-down tarp with grommets). Definitely would recommend both purchases, especially if your yard is a little on the wild/woody side. The tube framing is good - I will add that I wish the 'feet' would attach to the tube legs with a similar bolt lock that keeps the corner pieces in place. Before filling the pool with water, legs would repeatedly just... fall off and roll across the lawn or disconnect from their 'feet'. Not great as you do final adjustments on the placement and smooth out tarp folds. It's the only part of construction that lends the pool a 'rickety' feel - once the pool is assembled, placed and filled, it no longer feels rickety. Beyond that, the pool is sturdy, leak-proof (haven't needed any of the liner patches) and the pump works as intended. I'd hoped this would last us one season before investing in something more high-spec, but if this stores well over the winter, it's well worth re-using next summer. As our pool is set-up underneath a party tent, the pump is sufficient - but I'd imagine if you keep it uncovered and/or have very high traffic with small children or similar, you might need a better pump than the one included. For us, that one is fine as we don't really track debris into the water. As frequently mentioned in reviews, the instruction sheet is awful. I'm a pretty seasoned manual-follower, but the tiny pictogram-only instructions were more of a headache than expected. Also, bear in mind that half the narrow tubes are stored within the wider-diameter tubes - if you find yourself short of a couple legs, they're hidden within the other ones. In summary: great price tag, two people definitely recommended for set-up because of escaping tubing, surprising durability. I would absolutely recommend this pool for a first-time/temporary 'let's see if a pool is for us' set-up.
