Also, the mounting holes in the bracket that goes to the wall are on the sides of the bracket. It would be possible to turn the bracket but the thing is asymmetrical and looked strange sideways. There is a lot of weight on this bracket, I used a sort of heavy LED bulb in the end of the fixture, and it looked like it might come down. I drilled a hole on the top to anchor it. Might not be necessary, but it is mounted high up and I didn't want to have to return to fix it.
