There's no good light in my apartment to read by, so I usually just read at work on my breaks. This thing is a game changer, now I'm reading at home every night. I love it! Easy controls, the left button controls the color, the right one turns it on/off and controls the brightness. I keep it on the brightest setting and I think you'd maybe get about 8 hours or so of use. It charges back pretty quickly too. It's comfortable and it feels well made, I think it will last. Best of all, it wasn't very expensive. If you like to read or crochet or do anything up close with your hands I would definitely recommend it.

Another 5 stars for this one. It is very comfortable around the neck. It’s isn’t heavy at all. It is bendable so the light can be aimed directly at whatever you’re using it for. Therefore I have no shadows. I specifically bought it to aid in reading my Bible because the lamplight was not shining directly over it. This does the job. It is very bright - what I needed. It can be adjusted to dimmer if that is your preference. Although I got it for reading, I can see other uses for it. I think a guy who loves working on cars could definitely enjoy this. Then he wouldn’t need someone holding a flashlight for him. Also, it would be great to use if you have a power outage to find your way around the house and keep your hands free. It would make a nice gift for just about anyone. I also like the rechargeable batteries. Just plug in the included charging cord and you’re set to go. Mine came already charged and I used it for about 2 hours with no sign of weakness. I am really pleased with this little gadget.

I’ve read blogs emphasizing the importance of a light for knitting, crocheting, and sewing and sort of tucked the info away. But I’ve been working on some darker colors on a crochet blanket and when the sun goes down the house lights aren’t enough for me to see by. This light has been a truly amazing addition to my must haves to knit and crochet! It’s light weight, adjustable for fit around my neck and light tone/brightness, plus the price was very reasonable. I’ve only used it a couple of times so I’m not sure how long it holds a charge but it’s easily rechargeable. The first picture is shadowy and if there wasn’t some sunlight it would be time to quit for the day. The second is with the Gritin neck lamp and it is night and day different! I can also see other uses for it since it’s hands free and able to go wherever you go! Or you could even hang it where you need it.

This is a very bright light. If you were looking for something that is not bright with more dimness this is not the light for you. It has a bright white light, a blue light and an orange light. My favorite to read with is the orange. I usually only use one of the lights instead of both because this light is incredibly bright. Great quality. Flexible. Both lights come on without an option to turn one of them off.

Not only is this good for reading at night, but I used it when my power was out for 6 days from Hurricane Beryl. I used it to read but also to navigate around my dark house. It held a charge for quite a long time and recharged quickly. You can put it around your neck and see a bright pathway in front of you. It's small and easy to find a place to keep it close at hand. If I had a complaint, it would be that it does get a little warm, which was only a problem because I live in Houston and it got very hot in my house without AC. I plan on getting at least 2 more, just for emergencies. The type of light also adjust to 3 different intensities for eye comfort and it's much more comfortable than those "headlight" that strap around the forehead.

Used for several hours over one month since received. Have not needed to recharge yet. The bendable arms stay in whatever curve I have needed. The two light tips can provide wide coverage. Amount of light is seems plenty. Dimming option works well. On shiny paper you can get reflected glare, but a small change in angle of reading material eliminates glare. Soon after I received the Gritin Neck Reading Light, I discovered a bonus useage!! I had eye surgery and needed to use eye drops, but with my then reduced vision, I needed a lot of light to be able see the spouts of my eye drop bottles. I could aim the light tips upward to illuminate the bottle spouts, and greatly improve my aim of the bottle spouts! With frequent, short electricity outages, these reading lights will become an additional NON-HAND-HELD, flexible backup light!

I have been using this for years and love it. I like that you can adjust the color tone and brightness. It’s comfortable around the neck when lying down, I barely notice it. The arms are quite adjustable to bend to different angles. I don’t remember the last time I had to charge it. I haven’t used it for crafts like other reviews mentioned but think that is a great idea!

I bought this for when I want to crochet, and the lighting isn't the best. It's brilliant for that as it has 3 different settings for brightness. It mouldes around the neck for comfort. It uses USB charging, so no batteries to keep replacing. It's small and lightweight, so it won't make your neck ache using it.
