Best tip for general purpose work
I have the other tips that are very fine and this 2mm tip is perfect for general purpose through-hole components and also drag soldering of SMD chips.

Great little tip for those 0603 packages
I got this tip because I had some very tiny (to me) parts to solder for a project. With having no prior SMD soldering experience, I was able to fairly easily solder the 0603 parts that the tip included with my TS100 iron would just carry away. Heats up lightning fast but lacks enough thermal mass to deal with any heavy ground planes. One cap needed this tip to solder the non-grounded side, then another beefier tip to deal with the ground plane on the other. But over all, I like this tip for intricate work.

Great accessory to a great soldering iron.

Heat doesn't get to the tip
The heat is about 3 mm from the tip and that's where all the solder goes, unusable for SMD
