great value, portable, looks premium and works great
I love the portability of this usb c dock and the option of HDMI, VGA, Display Port (DP) on the same doc. It has worked flawlessly so far. Been using it for few months now. The only down side is that you cannot have multiple external monitors i.e you can extend the display from your laptop to only one monitor. But for this price I think it is expecting too much. Overall, extremely satisfied with this quality product.

Great travel adapter
I received this today and hooked it up on a Dell XPS 13 (9360). Took a few minutes for the drivers to sync up but once they did, the HDMI connected up to my TV and I was able to watch a movie from Amazon Prime and it streamed great. The network also connected great. So far so good. I really like how small this is and I like the rubber case around it - after all, it will be in my briefcase when I travel and get banged around.

Chromebook R13
I have facing the issues with connction to two monitors. There has been great customer service, and communication from Cable Masters. Now I use hub and R13 connected to TV by HDMI and works grat so far.

Great adapter
This adapter is a great companion to my Macbook Pro (2016 model with the TouchBar). I occasionally find myself needing to present PowerPoints in places with older technology projectors that use VGA. This was a great way to have an all in one adapter gizmo in a nice compact package. Only tidbit of advice I can offer is that the VGA device needs to be plugged in to the adapter before you connect the adapter to the computer in order for my Macbook to properly recognize it. I did not need any software or configuration on my computer - truly plug and play. If I had a criticism it would be that the cable is not replaceable. I would have preferred a USB-C port with a short cable which would allow it to be replaced or the use of a longer cable.

Works, but slow Ethernet port
I bought this adapter to use with a MacBook Pro (all USB-C ports). I wanted to have one connection for my VGA external monitor, USB devices (mouse, keyboard) and Ethernet. All of these connections work, HOWEVER the Ethernet speed is only about 1/2 what I get with other adapters. The Ethernet also seems flaky, with intermittent dropouts. This is annoying during FaceTime calls and online conferences. I got better performance with a single purpose USB-C to Ethernet adapter and also with a multifunction/hub made by Anker. Bottom line: The price and attractive and the functionality is there. But don't expect top performance, especially on the Ethernet side.

Great small dock
This dock is great carry on accessories for my tech bag. The multiple ports allow for a variety of connections. Plug and play hardware as well. Worked instantly out of the box with my Dell XPS 13 running Ubuntu 18.04 no dealing with any Linux drivers (not sure about other distros). Good quality and doesn't feel like a cheap port replicator.

Works great with Google Pixel 2 & Google Chromebook Pixel 2 & Thinkpad T480
Excellent USB-C dock, works as easy as plug and play with my Pixel 2 phone (Android Pie), Chromebook Pixel 2, and Thinkpad T480. When I tested this dock with my Pixel 2, I plugged in my Dragonfly Black USB-A DAC to this dock's USB-A port and immediately all audio from my Pixel 2 phone was routed to my M50X headphones plugged in to the DAC. This is all while charging my Pixel 2 via the dock's USB-C (PD) port with my 87w Apple USB-C PD charger. (dock correctly negotiates 60w, and supplies the Pixel 2 with 27w rapid charge) Then, I attached an ethernet cable to the dock from my router and, to my surprise, my Pixel 2 phone immediately got an IP lease and solely used the ethernet. When I plugged the dock into my Chromebook Pixel 2 in the same configuration, it provided USB-A, ethernet, and single display output (via USB-C alternate display mode). Similarly, this dock fully works with my Thinkpad T480, in the same configuration.

A bit big but good quality and rugged.
Works as advertised on HP Spectre x360 (late 2016 Kabylake). The only thing I don't like is the size of the adapter. Though it is not big by any means, it is chunky compared to newer sleek adapters. The added protection around the adapter is very comforting but I reckon the adapter can shrink by 1/3 at least if they try even with the rugged protection. All in all, it works well and that's that.

Doesnโt work with 2 displays at the same time.
Excellent product idea but doesnโt work work with 2 displays. The only product that offers vga and displayport conversion to usb c, but doesnโt work at the same time.

Finally, an adapter that allows for 4k @60Hz. Detailed info on how to.
I've had a lot of trouble finding an adapter that allows for 4k @60Hz display. This one delivers. Although my first order ended up being a defective unit (there's supposed to be a blue LED that turns on when there's power, I had none), the company was incredibly responsive via email confirming I had a broken unit. I quickly returned it via Amazon and ordered a new one. This one worked perfectly. A few things to note, maybe save some of you a lot of trouble. - I looked high and low as to why this was only offered with USB 2.0 and not 3.0 (blue connector). I finally discovered that if you are offering 4k @60Hz, then it's an impossibility to have enough pins on the cables/connectors to allow for USB 3.0 to function at those speeds. Any hub that says otherwise is lying. Cable Matters obviously gets this and that's why there's none offered. The only way to get USB 3 AND 4k @60Hz is to have a Thunderbolt capable system, cables, hub and screen. All of which are usually quite expensive but do allow for all of this to work if that's important to you. I don't particularly care for high speed USB since I rarely connect things. Much rather have 4k @60Hz. So stop looking for such an adapter with USB 3.0, it doesn't exist. - Getting 4k @60Hz working was quite challenging. I HIGHLY recommend simply going to DisplayPort and NOT HDMI. HDMI has too many quirks in getting 60Hz specifically. Most cables output 4k @30Hz only. All DisplayPort cables output 60Hz. Save yourself that grief and get a DisplayPort cable for this. Second, I wanted a longer cable to connect my laptop (Google Pixel Slate, USB 3.1 Gen 2, 10Gbps) to this adapter. Once again, there's a lot of misleading claims of cables out there. I looked and purchased a total of 4 different USB-C extension cables (male to female) before finally getting one that worked. The first three failed (1. black screen when selecting 4k @60Hz, 2. Correctly outputs 4k @60Hz, but had screen flickering, ok for lower resolutions, 3. Simply didn't allow me to select 4k @60Hz and offered 30Hz). After reading up on this, I discovered that there is a spec when it comes to cable length (3.3ft max). I suspect this was part of the issue with some of the purchased cables. Finally, the fourth one I ordered (zdyCGTime 3.1 Type c Cable 90 Degree 3.1 USB Type C Male to Female Gen 2 10Gbps Connector Extender Cable,Supports Charging, Data, Audio, Video Cable for New MacBook Pro 2017, USB-C Hub(1M,M/F)) https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07SPSBTKR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 did the trick. I'm not a huge fan of the 90 deg connector for my purposes, but it finally delivered! Combine this cable with this adapter and you're golden! Thank you for making a great hub that works. And thanks for your quick email response.

Ideal for moving between locations
6 inch USB-C tail tucks nicely into the rubber case before being stuffed into my laptop bag twice a week. Adds an Ethernet connection to my Dell Latitude 7420 which does not have a networking port. I would give 5 stars if it could handle dual monitors. That appears to be a feature in later models. My old Dell P2418HZ has never liked DP chaining to later Dell DP monitors otherwise I would try to see if it would work with the hub. VGA port is useful in a pinch.

Great for Chromebook
Great for adding external monitor and keyboard to a Chromebook. The power to the Chromebook can be routed through this unit's C port to power anything attached to it as well. Works better than expected.
