Ms. Yuki by Aune is exceptionally great!
As stated plus everything I can't say that much better. She really is worth more than her dollar value. And is of the highest quality. It gets slightly warm and that is it. I bought the orange leather case obviously and it does not get any warmer inside of that. I bought the case even though at first I really liked the style, it did get a little boring for me after a while. It did have a really warm to dark sound at first but still high on details and extension somehow. And as it burned in or broke-in, got more hours of use, it became very clear and really only sounds its best with warmer earphones. The detail is still phenomenal! I love this DAC/amp so much, I still buy DAC/amp dongles expecting to at least find an equal, but back they go. Lol Very strangely it took over 2 weeks of 3+ hours daily of boring warm and dry boring hours, I might add, of listening before I started to notice some changes sound quality. But now it is so crystal clear with just enough of the slightest warmth. Everything else just sounds so natural(sorry I'm very good at describing imaging and separation and some other things, and other things I forget). But sound is very balanced, no frequencies stand out, unless you use the 4.4mm. Then things sounds just thicker and nicer yet. My personal choice for doing upgrades. It is so easy to use, you can just turn the volume to 100 and use your phone for volume. It is so portable due it's size of course, but it is no light weight it has more to it than you'd it looks like it should have. Very good build quality it appears. Connectivity seems to the only slight issue, as this morning I started having some static or some noise like shorting, so I started moving my earphone cable around and checking things and it came to be that the beautiful and so nice short jumper wire( usb c to usb c cable) that is included was the fault. I switched it with one of mine and no more noise. Back to dead silent background. Thank you, I hope you buy and enjoy as I have. :)

Aesthetically pleasing. Fantastic sound.
I've been a self proclaimed audiophile my entire life and recently got into dongle DACs to drive my IEMs and hifiman sundaras across different devices (laptop, phones, etc) as the 3.5 mm jacks weren't always sufficient. Comparing the Yuki to my previous daily driver, the moondrop dawn pro, I noticed an immediate difference in the sound. The Yuki seemed to offer a lusher soundstage compared to the dawn, with slightly deeper bass and more natural sounding vocals. It helped round out some of the more muffled mids I was hearing from the dawn pro through my over ears in a few Stevie Nicks recordings. The sound is a lot less clinical than the dawn pro, and more warm/natural sounding. Listening to the Eagles live feels just a little more like you're there in the crowd through the yuki. The sound is excellent without feeling like it colors the sound negatively for any genre unlike other DACs I've used. It worked with no issues with all of my devices and looks really cool. Gets slightly warm, especially in the leather case but never hot. The balanced output also sounds really great, I never needed to come close to maxing out the power or anything to get really great output and great sound out of this DAC. No funny settings or filters to play with. Just straight up awesome sound. My critique of this DAC is that it's missing a few quality of life features present on the moondrop for much less. First, it's hard to tell if things are properly connected or not as there is no LED or anything indicating things are on. Furthermore, the moondrop pro will tell me what quality my music is being streamed in via the LED color being shown, a nice feature missing here. Lastly it's not really needed because the stock sound is so awesome, but an app with multiple filters/LED control/etc. like offered on the dawn pro would be a cool add here. Keeping in mind though that we buy these things mainly for one reason - SOUND- this thing absolutely delivers in that department for every genre I've tried so far since I've owned it in the last few weeks. My new favorite DAC for sure!

Good Sound Separation - Some Issues.
Unfortunately I returned it because it buzzed when connected to my Oppo Find x7 ultra phone. So why 4 stars? Because it worked very well with my iPad Pro and drove my 80 ohm Yamaha and 300 ohm Sennheiser hd6XX headphones with no issues. Very good sound separation and a straight forward sound signature.

A Very Nice Dongle Dac!
Purchased this, Aune Yuki DAC, after reading some favorable reviews online. This is my first dongle dac that I have purchased. The Yuki replaces a previous "stack" DAC + Amp from a well known American company, and sounds as good, or better, than that previous stack, while taking up no space (okay, an itsy-bitsy tiny small space) on my desktop, or arm chair. I mainly drive a pair of Sennheiser HD6XX's and a pair of Fiio iem's (FD5's) from my laptop with the Yuki. I find the sound to be really good, meaning, perfect! All listening is done via the 4.4mm balanced jack. I keep the volume of the Yuki somewhere in its middle setting, and use the laptop's volume to adjust for listening volume. Pressing the two volume buttons on the Yuki for 2 seconds alternates between low gain for iem's, or high gain for the HD6XX's. All of my music streaming from my laptop sound pristine and uncolored. I couldn't be more pleased with the abilities of the Aune Yuki. The Yuki's build is a solid chunk of aluminum and feels quite substantial for such a tiny dac. The window side of the Yuki is pure eye candy, and the paint and graphics are top notch. Just an elegant little dac!

aune Yuki is a great DAC for Tidal+Spotify
This is a great little DAC with a headphone amp. It's perfect for TIDAL, and works with Spotify too. I'm using it with a pair of Meze 99 Classics, via 4.4mm balanced cables, and I'm really happy with the audio. It's very clear, and definitely feels "warm" but not overcrowded or distorted. I'm using it via the Android app "USB Audio Player PRO" and once the DSD option was enabled, sound quality is excellent. I'm very happy with this DAC/amp!

Impressive DAC
Very impressive portable DAC! My phone can't output that much, but with this DAC, the output is around 32 bit 96kHz. That's quite good and reasonable for using with with my Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, when I hook it up to my Macbook Pro, it does 32-bit 768 kHz!

Is It Legal for Folk and Bluegrass to Sound Sooooo Good?
If all you listen to is folk music, chamber music, bluegrass, hymns, and maybe polka, you cannot find a better DAC for the money! (For the money, you'll be hard pressed to find a better DAC, anyway.) The sound is warm and intimate. Bluegrass vocals really connect and touch the soul. Like Jennifer Nettles? You'll love this DAC! It makes the beautiful raspiness in her vocals downright soul-gripping! Listening to classical guitar, it sounds and feels like the guitarist is in the room with you! El McMeen fans, eat your heart out! That said, listening to conference calls through this is barely tolerable, and audiobooks narrated by women somehow sound more nasal. The same warmth that shines in chamber music, folk, and bluegrass makes speakers sound *really* close. Orchestral music also sounds smaller, with less separation between the instruments. Like Enya or Clannad? You'll be disappointed; the soundstage sounds… shrunk. Rock music sounds passably nice, but there's more of a "wall of sound"—a fullness of stage presence, with (again) less separation between instruments and vocals. So… know what you're getting: Beauty and warmth. Good separation of notes, but not great separation of instruments or vocals in complex orchestral music. And true intimacy in vocals—for better and for worse. If that's what you want, this is a definite buy!

The Focal Elex really loves this DAC/Amp
Excellent little DAC Amp! I have the Focal Elex for years but never listen to them. On class-D amps they are too bright/glaring for me. The Yuki has a wonderful thick/warm sound running balanced, that makes the Focal come to life.
