be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 CPU Cooler, Silent Cooling, High Airflow

Very good performance. it fit good in my dual chamber atx case. It keeps my CPU at 29- 32 degrees on idle. and of course it's very quiet. I have a i9- 12900kf. For the heaviest games and anything i can throw at it; it wont go over 50-60 degrees. Now that being said. if your going to do rendering with a CPU like the one i have, this cooler will just barely be enough. it will keep the cpu at 97 degrees at absolute full workload which is insane and i would never need it's full power like that just for gaming. But if your doing heavy rendering, this, by itself may be cutting it close as my cpu did thermal throttle briefly a few times in a cinebench test. the end score was still excellent within 10% of perfect max performance. Perhaps changing to more powerful fans might help but im unsure if the middle 140mm fan can be swapped out. You could definitely change that 120mm fan out no problem. by the way the cooler fits with the ram sticks perfectly and if your ram is a little bit taller it will still work because you can move the 120mm fan up a little bit to make more room for the ram. All and any gaming this will keep your even very hot cpu very cool. but for crazy intensive cpu work related tasks like rendering that uses very 100% of the cpu this one will just barely cut it. Very good product and for gaming its perfect.

This is a beefy CPU cooler coming in at 168mm tall. The installation process is easy and simple, a screwdriver is supplied in the box along with thermal paste. Mounting this on my Gigabyte B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E ICE was not an issue at all. The mounting kit is one of the best I have used. Once installed, it quiet and provides great airflow in my A3-case. The Dark Rock Pro 5 will fit into a Lian Li A3 case with no problems as seen in the pictures. Overall, I am very satisfied with the cooling and performace of the CPU cooler. I'm using it on a AMD 9800x3d CPU and it easily keeps it under 62C on average gaming. I don't rely on stress test because they do not represent real word usage. When I am idle my CPU hovers between 29 - 35C. Playing GPU intensive games with my 9070XT dumping some heat out pushes the CPU to around 68C to 72C in long game play sessions.

The Dark Rock Pro 5 was used for two builds based on the Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 motherboard. One build went in a new Corsair Frame 4000D ATX Mid Tower case, the other in a Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case from 2007. The CPU in both builds is the AMD Ryzen 9 9900X, a 120W part for which this 270W cooler has plenty of capacity. A middle fan sits between two radiators, covered by a plate bearing the be quiet! logo that is held in place with magnets. Underneath the cover plate is a Q/P switch that allows the cooler to run in Quiet or Performance mode. The fan wiring allows the two fans to be daisy chained and connected to a single CPU_FAN header that is typically located just above the CPU socket on the motherboard. Hardware is included with the cooler that supports Intel 1851, 1700, 1200, 1150, 1151 and 1155 sockets, and AMD AM4 and AM5 sockets. The directions were clear and installation was very easy. The cooler seems to have enough capacity relative to a 120W CPU that the fans tends to stay at low RPM and are inaudible, and it really looks great on a black motherboard in a black case. The Dark Rock Pro 5 is a high quality, well designed and manufactured CPU cooler that should run for a long time.

It keeps my i7 12700k very cool at idle and gaming. Full load temps peak at 75c and very stable ( image 2 is idle ) It’s a beefy cooler so make sure your case CPU Cooler height is at least 180mm It’s truly fascinating how much air it can move whilst staying so quiet Personally I think it looks nicer than the equivalent Noctuas 5 out of 5 stars. Much quieter than my old aio, as I leave my PC on 24/7 I want both reliability and low noise floor.

Very pleased with ease of installation and efficiency of this cooler. Replaced 240 AIO that was no longer performing. I decided to go back to air. The Noctua NH-d15 was my first choice but would not have the clearance over RAM. I came across this gem. AMD Installation: EZ Gg. Remove default brackets from motherboard. Reusing your motherboard backplate, place spacers then mount new brackets on top of spacers. Apply thermal paste (included) and line screw holes (2) on cooler to brackets. I did this without removing the board from case. Both fans run off one header. Cooling: while it wouldn’t be fair to compare to a failing AIO with temps from 60c idle and 90c (tjmax). It’s fair to say that it is on par with the AIO when it was new if not a little better. At idle I average 38c and under gaming load I haven’t seen higher than 78c. 21.1c (70f) ambient temperature. Further improvements were made by replacing stock case fans with 4 Be quite pure wings3, Seeing another drop of 4 degrees on average. Sound: Much quieter than before. The recording I included is with the cooler fans and system fans at 100% and phone pressed to glass. It no longer sounds like a jet engine. And that’s worse case scenario. I have yet to hear it max speed during a normal gaming session. I can play games without needing headphones to block it out. Build quality: not much to say here. It’s hefty and seems well built. Overall I would recommend this cooler. I’m glad that my first choice did not workout. Having never used be quite products previously, I will definitely consider them for future upgrades/builds. I completed my PC build on April 26th and had no problem installing this cooler. Instructions were pretty clear and it took maybe 5 minutes to mount it on my MB. Fits like a glove, and the heatsink is well made, quality aluminum. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and here's what I can say with about 5 days of usage: Pros: Temps at idle stay nearly exactly at 40C, though I do have a very well ventilated case. Under 87% load (the highest I've ever gotten it at consistently without benchmarking) the highest temp I got was 83C, which is excellent for this CPU. It responds well to the BIOS fan curve and never allows overheating. Cons: Performance mode vs Quiet mode are, well, identical. I've even checked the fan speeds after switching profile types, and they do not change. Of course, if you're using a beefy heatsink like this you most likely have high-tier parts and are expecting *some* noise, but this is just a tad bit louder than necessary. There is also no software to control it, and though you CAN control it through the BIOS, you can't fine tune it with software. Or at least, it hasn't responded to any softwares I've tried. Overall it's a heavy duty, powerful CPU fan that performs well. Be prepared for it to be decently loud however.

I was building a workstation for development and not for gaming. But, I wanted to be sure that I had no problem of overheating and I did not want to use water cooling (AIO unit). So, I chose this unit which may have been a little too powerful for my needs. The unit is a very high quality and efficient CPU cooler, and also very quiet considering the power. However, it will not every case because it stands high when it is mounted. Make sure you mind the dimensions of your case before choosing this cooler. If it is for your case, you will not regret choosing this fine cooler.

This was simple to install with the included brackets. It replaces a cheaper option that quite simply didnt cool the CPU effectively enough, especially when rendering in After Effects. The build quality is excellent, the performance switch, for me, is a little bit of a gimmick, just put it on performance and leave it. Couple this with quality thermal paste and you will see results comparable to a mid tier AIO. My temps now stay around 50-66 degrees and when rendering (AE uses all cores 100%) the highest temp I have seen is 90 degrees so the CPU no longer throttles when rendering.

Très performant sur un i7 13700K overclocké, très silencieux mais malheureusement trop gros pour pouvoir fermer le boîtier ! En revanche, sur un U7 270K Plus OC, je suis un peu moins satisfait, le CPU montant à 105 degrés sous OCCT. J’ai dû le remplacer par un AIO Pure Loop 3 en 280mm, qui maintient le CPU à 96 degrés, toujours sous OCCT. C’est encore trop haut mais déjà un peu plus raisonnable. Je n’ai jamais vu un processeur monter à ce point en température, même stressé à fond, et je me demande quel modèle de refroidisseur pourrait le maintenir à une température correcte, autour de 85 degrés en stress j’entends. L’enorme ventirad DeepCool Assassin IV ayant également du mal à le contenir sous les 100 degrés…

En lo particular prefiero el enfriamiento por ventilación, y este producto es de lo mejor, ya es mi tercer producto de la misma marca que compro y no me han fallado

Silencioso incluso si tiene que disipar más en operaciones más exigentes. Muy eficiente, mantiene mi 14700F a raya. Muy bien presentado en cuanto a envasado y accesorios. Deja mucho espacio a memorias con disipadores estrambóticos. Eso sí, grande como un gorrino grande. Y sin colorines, uff...

ASUS B850-PLUS WiFi CPU RYZEN 7 9700X グリス AINEX JP-DX2 ケース BeQuiet DARK Base701 CPU設定、BIOSを標準のままだとGoW4画質最高設定の高負荷時の最高温度87℃、BIOSを最新版にすると82℃でした。自作初心者なので冷えているかどうか分かりません。CINEBENCH R23では最高温度70℃。 アイドル時は37℃でした。 CPUクーラーの高負荷時は音は聞こえますが不快ではありません。静音だと思います。 高級感と使用感は満足です。耐久性も問題なさそうです。取り付けは分かりやすく簡単でした。
