You also are able to adjust the size of your screen. Overall, I'm a fan of Xreal, if you're listening, I highly recommend you buy the Xreal Air 2 Pro. Review: A Real Disappointment, Glasses are Excellent but Beam is not. - Fortunately for me my XReal Air 2 glasses turned up a couple of days before the Beam, so I had the pleasure of using the XReal Air 2 to watch movies connected to my iPad, and the experience was better than expected. When the beam arrived I had high expectations but sadly I am extremely disappointed. The hardware side of the beam is first class and feels extremely premium, but it's let down by poor software/firmware that is barely fit for purpose and buggy doesn't even begin to explain it. The preinstalled Netflix and desertcart Prime apps work, though the video quality is significantly less than using the same apps on my iPad connected to the same glasses. The star feature of locking the screen position does not even work when using the Netflix or desertcart Prime apps. The software is terrible and the picture quality was awful. The wireless streaming is quite laggy and plugging my phone into it just reduced the picture quality! (I hear you asking, why did you keep it?). If you learn how to sideload apps the the device starts to get more interesting. After putting a better version of netflix and Amazon into it the image quality was greatly improved. Using this means that you can free up your phone and you get the benefit of being able to anchor the screen and adjust it. It was brilliant to get the Sky Go app running on it as I can watch live TV. It can be sluggish when you adjust the volume but it's fine when it's playing. It gets a bit too warm for my liking and could be a bit noisy - not that noticeable for me. Battery life is less than advertised but you can charge it while using it - this was a thing that annoyed me with my phone before I got it as a phone only has one USB C port.
