Ghost Hanger Skateboard Deck Display

I love these things. I’ve gotten 3 so far for all my skateboards. I really don’t have anything negative to say about it. It’s easy to install, sturdy, and looks great.

This wall mount works great and the skateboard looks great on the wall.

When my partner got a new skateboard, I purchased this mount so we could hang up his old one. While it didn’t come with instructions, it was pretty self-explanatory, and it looks great hung up. I like that the amount itself is very minimalist, but still very aesthetic when you do catch a glance of it behind the board.Easy to put up even with one person, and very very sturdy when complete. I love this mount!

Hardware worked quite well and hold the board tightly, easily to adjust for how you want the board to sit on the wall and to level it. It is a very simple product that works quite well. Ideal for a display, if you are looking for something for storage, like you are actually removing it and putting it back on the wall frequently, this isnt the ideal product as you dont want to unscrew the end pieces all the time and you run a risk of losing them.

I love how these things look and they seem really sturdy, but getting the two long screws through was a chore I’d give my most annoying enemy. The holes they go through are slightly too big and the screw heads seem to have been made with copper purchased from Ea-Nasir that strips almost instantly upon encountering any kind of resistance. I got through this on my other screws by using a pair of vice grips and manually turning the screws until they were far enough in to drill. Also, be aware, the act of turning the screws through the plastic makes them incredibly hot.The second issue was that you have to anchor them to the wall after the long screws are installed, which means you need a drill with an extender to reach the screw at all. I supposed if you’re using a screwdriver it’s alright, but I was going directly into wood with these things.Once everything was together and my hands were healed from their various wounds sustained during the install, it looked pretty sick. The decks are up off the ground, which is about all I wanted. For $6 a piece, I guess I was willing to suffer.

I see a lot of the reviews complain about the size of the holes on the mount itself for the screws that hold the deck— they’re tight for a purpose. They hold the long screws tightly so the board doesn’t wiggle around once mounted up. I think the whole set up is perfectly constructed! Sleek, easy to set up and does the job well. Love it on my autographed Steve-O deck. A lovely addition to a growing memorabilia gallery wall. 10/10 recommend. Especially for the price.
