Because of a phone/case change, I ended up getting this larger size and, as expected, it's great! I originally saw this from a YouTuber who was going over her fave Amazon purchases. I have always been more drawn to practical over 'cute' things and I likely would not have even purchased or given a thought to this as I would have dismissed it early on as an unnecessary buy. Truthfully, it still is unnecessary but its usefulness has been proven to me. I place my phone on it & when notifications come up, I can glance at my screen and not actually reply or engage unless I really have to. I think that, without this, when I hear or see a notification, I tend to pick up my phone to see what the notification is and before you know it, I'm unlocking my phone to engage & it eventually spills over to me heading to Amazon, checking emails, Instagram, etc. I think it's more productive to have it propped upright and I don't have to touch my phone since I can glance over and see it and just continue whatever I'm doing. There's something useful about not having to take a moment to pick up my phone from my desk or a table just because of a notification that helps me stay productive and less distracted. Sure, it's not for everyone. Upon looking it over it appears to be quite a durable little stand that has a notch on the end of it so you can place your phone and plug the charger into it as well. The notch is even wide enough that you can plug the original 30 pin apple charger through it. It does receive phones that have a slimline case on it, though, if it's something like an Otterbox it may not fit and for sure a ZeroLemon won't fit at all and will need to be taken out of the case to be placed. I can picture this stand being used to hold a tablet while watching TV or a movie but since my phone is in a big case (for the moment) I won't get a whole lot of use out of it. Great for Facetime and Zoom.However, an iPhone can be unstable if tilted too far back in the holder. The first picture shows a normal stable angle with an iPhone 12 in the upright (portrait) position. The second picture shows the side view with the phone tilted too far back; this is unstable.Just a light touch on the screen will cause the holder and phone to tip over backwards (third and forth pictures.)Either use great care so as not to tip too far or put a weight on the base under the phone. Or use the phone in the landscape position, which eliminates the problem.In either case, this is exactly what I was looking for.
