Plug and play
If you're looking for a way to play your favorite Playstation 2 games on a modern TV, the Kaico Edition Playstation 2 PS2 HDMI Converter is an excellent option. This device is designed to convert the PS2's AV output to an HDMI signal, making it easy to connect your PS2 to a TV or monitor that only has an HDMI input. One of the key benefits of this converter is its ease of use. Simply plug it into your PS2, connect an HDMI cable to your TV, and you're good to go. The picture quality is excellent, with crisp and clear visuals that bring your games to life. In terms of build quality, the Kaico Edition converter feels solid and well-made. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and store. The plug and play design means that there's no need for any complicated setup or software installation, making it an excellent option for those who aren't tech-savvy. One thing to keep in mind is that this converter only supports outputting at 720p, so if you have a TV or monitor that supports higher resolutions, you won't be able to take advantage of that. However, for the price, the picture quality is still excellent and more than sufficient for most users. Overall, if you're looking for an easy and affordable way to play your PS2 games on a modern TV, the Kaico Edition Playstation 2 PS2 HDMI Converter is definitely worth considering. It's a great option for anyone who wants to relive their childhood gaming memories without having to sacrifice picture quality.

IIDX says GOOD not GREAT
Was looking to replace my old Pound adapter after switching to a new monitor that doesn’t have an audio port. This Kaico one was cheap and does the job. HDMI output works fine, and it has a headphone jack which is super useful if your monitor lacks speakers. Great for casual play. I tested it with Beatmania IIDX (I'm no top tier player, around level 8), and while it’s playable, songs I used to AA dropped to A ranks. Changing the input delay to +2 helped a lot, but for older games like anything below Happy Sky, you're kinda cooked, no timing offset means you're stuck adapting. If you’re just playing for fun or nostalgia, it’s totally fine. But if you're aiming for precise scoring or playing rhythm games that rely on tight input timing, you might want to look into a pricier solution with better latency performance.

Pleasantly surprised..
This worked surprisingly well. There's loads of them out there so I bought this one as a shot in the dark, but it's actually made a noteable difference. I appreciate the PS2 has it's limitations, the picture quality is only going to get so good, but for 15 quid this was worth a punt. Any improvement on a 50" inch HD telly is welcomed. Just be aware this only works with PS2 games. You cannot use it to play original PlayStation games.

Poor build quality
Build quality is terrible. Stopped working after a matter of uses due to the Micro USB input coming off the motherboard despite being handled with care.

Hit and miss
The good: Packaged with instructions that are easy to follow. Works on both slim and original models. Mini usb to usb cable supplied. Inexpensive. The not so good: The mini usb cable very nearly gets in the way of the slim model's power cable. As others have said, you couldn't have stood it on its side. Image is noticeably darker.

Great for the price.
Tried this after a YouTuber recommended it. Is tried a cheaper version before and this just blows it out of the water. Really good clarity and sound. Followed the setup instructions carefully and all was well.

Wichtig. Das Ausgangssignal muss wie beschrieben umgestellt werden. Danach läuft der Adapter einwandfrei. Klar das die Spiele PS/2 Grafik behalten jedoch ist diese auch gestochen scharf. So macht Need for Speed etc. wieder richtig Spaß. Absolutes „Must have“ um weitere 20 Jahre mit der PS/2 zu haben.

I've been trying different PS2 to HDMI converters through the years, ever since I brought my PS2 out of storage. The one I stuck with the longest was Levelhike. It had pretty good quality, especially for the price. I also just didn't want to break the bank with those high end converters (often costing over 100 dollars) so it was good enough for me. After about 2 years though, I got curious and wanted to see if I could find anything better. I decided to just keep trying out different HDMI converters in hopes that I could find better quality. I saw a video on YouTube talking about different HDMI converters and surprisingly no one mentioned Kaico. It was from a comment that I saw someone recommend it. I had bought and tried it for myself and they were completely right. Kaico's HDMI converter looked absolutely stunning compared to Levelhike. The colors were better, the on-screen text and textures looked sharper, and the image mostly filled the screen (just had 2 small black bars on the sides but you don't notice them). I have to say that I'm very surprised and impressed by the quality. I had tried another brand before this, ElectronPulse, and they had all sorts of demonstrations and reviews on their website of how "high tech" their HDMI converter was. I wasn't too impressed by it when I personally tried it out. It felt on par with Levelhike, and honestly, I kind of felt like it may have even been a step down in visual quality, but there were times where I couldn't clearly tell unless I took a side by side picture (which I didn't do but I wish I did). But anyway, I highly recommend you try out Kaico's HDMI converter. Its honestly really good. I tried it on both a Samsung and Sony TV and it worked on both. I had a weird issue where Levelhike wouldn't work on my Sony. It would be weirdly stretched out and if you looked closely, the image would have a staticky shaking effect. It was bizarre and even the company couldn't answer me as to why it wasn't compatible. But I'm happy to say that Kaico works great on my Sony. On a side note, I'd also recommend Zeskit Maya's 8k HDMI cables. They're 2.1 certified and one of the best on the market at an affordable price. They really help bring the most out of my consoles, especially the PS2. You won't regret it. Edit:just wanted to clarify with the black bars on the TV. For some reason, it's very small and barely noticeable on my Samsung tv that I use to play on in my living room. Whenever I choose to play on my Sony tv in my bedroom, the black bars are bigger and more noticeable, giving it almost like a 4:3 aspect ratio look. If you have anime or tv shows from the 90s/2000s on dvds, you know exactly what I mean because the picture back then wasnt made in wide screen like today. Its very weird that the aspect ratio is like this for my tvs. It actually was in wide screen for the first time I used Kaico on my Sony, but then it just automatically defaulted to the 4:3 look. Just wanted to put that out there that it might look different on different tv brands like it did for me.

Consigliato!!!
